Imperial College Accommodation Prince's Gardens

For value and convenience in July and August, Imperial College is hard to beat. I have stayed in both Beit Hall and Princes Gardens a number of times and will return again and again. Unfortunately this accommodation is only available during student holidays but it's wonderful then. Beit Hall is right next the Albert Hall so I can attend the Proms and then stroll back next door. I can even pop back during the interval if necessary! Princes Gardens is in a lovely, tranquil garden square. All are a short walk from Kensington Gardens, South Kensington tube station, Victoria and Albert, Natural History and Science museums. Did I say rooms are spotless, small but adequate with own shower and toilet. Student staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Breakfast, amazingly, is included.

I stayed at the Princes Gardens' accommodation on the Imperial College campus, Wilkinson Hall. The accommodation was totally value for money in terms of location and convenience. Albert hall, the Royal college of music, the Science museum and Hyde Park were just 5-10 minutes walking distance. the breakfast spread in the Imperial college hall of commons was fantastic. A very minimal but effective service supplemented the stay. Only negatives were possibly room size and lack of airconditioning, but who needs it when the weather is on the colder side. Would definitely want to stay here again.

Room Tip: Avoid basement rooms if possible.

Just returned from a 3 night stay with my daughter. Spotlessly clean basic accommodation, in a perfect area!! Right next to Royal Albert Hall, Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum, and only a ten minute walk to Harrods!! Very friendly staff and adequate breakfast in the morning. We will return

We couldn't have wished for more for £55 a night with breakfast and a 2 minute walk to South Kensington tube station!

We were thrilled with our stay here, very clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very nice, we will definitely stay here again!

This accommodation are the student halls from late September to end June, but Imperial rents them out as hotel accommodation during the summer. Really good value - i booked through the Imperial website, and got 50% off, so paid £62 for one night for an ensuite double room with breakfast included in the morning. The room also includes gym access.

Our room was in Eastside, which was a double room facing away from the Eastside bar (so quiet!), with a lot of storage space, and a decent bathroom.

Great location - I went to Imperial as an undergraduate, and it has that very "student halls" feel for me. 2 minutes from the tube station, near some major tourist attractions, and also comfortable! Recommend staying here. But book in advance, and arrive at the check in desk BEFORE 2pm otherwise you will be queueing for a long time.

Good tea making facilities & clean towels. The bed wasn't as clean as it could have been and the sheets/one pillow were quite thin. The bed itself was uncomfortable as I could feel the springs in my back.
Very nice and helpful staff though!

Room Tip: Don't get a shared bathroom

My husband and I traveled to London from the USA and needed a safe, economic, and convenient-to-tourist-attractions place to stay. Prince's Gardens (at Imperial College) fit our needs perfectly. It was easy to take the underground from Heathrow Airport to the South Kensington Station and walk the 2 blocks with luggage to the check-in/accommodation. The area seemed very upscale and safe and we did not have concern about going out at night, etc. The room was very basic with a full-size bed, and essentially provided a clean place to sleep and shower. There was not air conditioning, but this was not a problem at all during our trip as the weather was lovely. The breakfast at the college cafeteria was a short walk from the room and was both tasty and filling every morning. There was a selection of both cooked items and fruit/cereal to choose from. There was a small charge for Wi-Fi for the duration of the stay, and it did have some connection/password problems during the first day, but those were resolved during our visit. My only complaint is the the bed was very hard and uncomfortable and you could almost feel the firm springs (as well as hear them very clearly!). Otherwise if you have similar needs to ours for you trip, I definitely recommend Prince's Gardens. If we go back to London we will definitely stay here!
