I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and I wanted to surprise her so I upgraded the room to a balcony type which came with an extra charge of £40 which was understandable and wasn’t a problem. The room we upgraded to had a broken air con system so the room didn’t get warmed up and the room temperature was cold as soon as we arrived. The hotel then got a technician to look at it and he couldn’t even fix it either. We was then provided with a portable heater which took longer to heat the room up. The manager being made aware of this didn’t even come up to apologise for the inconvenience or offer an alternative. We as hotel guests had to go all the way downstairs from the 6th floor to ask the manager what he can do for us as the technician already told us there are no other balcony rooms available. He also told us they have a lot of problems with the ac system in a lot of their rooms. We then had to haggle the manager to provide us with something complementary which he took the extra charge for the room off. They also charge an extra £50 for the balcony key Which was an automated security payment which you get back once you depart. After departure it had been a week and I still didn’t receive back the refund for the extra charges. I then had to phone up customer service, the first advisor I spoke to didn’t even understand the situation or knew about the hotels policy for the balcony key nor could provide me with a solution. Finally I got put through to another advisor, I explained what had happened with not receiving my money back for the extra charges and was told to email them the screen shots of my bank statement of the money they had charged to my card. Only then did they refund me back the £90 meaning if I didn’t call them addressing my issue they were happy to overlook the situation and they weren’t even apologetic about it. I wouldn’t stay here again too much trouble.

Stayed for 2 nights with my wife through a groupon offer on Jan 18th and 19th so we could visit London .
A lovely stay. Clean and modern. Very helpful and friendly staff. Some were exceptionally friendly.
The warm chocolate nutty cookie given on arrival was pleasant.
We will be going back .

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff and a warm welcome. We were very relieved that the planes stopped flying through the night! Clean room, comfortable bed. Our only criticism is with regards to breakfast. The range was excellent and quality of most items was good but for £17.95 the cooked breakfast items fell below what I would expect, the scrambled egg was dry, the fried eggs were a little rubbery and there were no mushrooms. As mentioned, everything else was lovely at breakfast. The hotel is in a great spot. Thank you for a lovely stay.
