This Premier Inn would not be the best in London but its ok if you need a few nights at a sensible price.
The building is a bit on the dreary side and the last time I stayed in it, I took a wrong turn and ended up going through another hotel which seemed to be much posher - so it must be joined to another.
The rooms are far from the reception & you have to go over a covered walkway which goes across a road - not the prettiest but definitely still ok if you are getting it at a bargain price.

The staff are friendly & the location keeps you just within zone 2 of the tube. I would go again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Its a good Hotel. The noise of the train was a problem.. Its not in all the rooms. Last year we had a room without that problem!!! so,ask for a room without trainnoise when you are noisesensitive. For the rest nice Hotel, nice people, well situated, close to tube and many restaurants.

What a fantastic hotel to stay at with young children! Fantastic, fun, friendly staff, great room with no noise from either side, brilliant breakfast - basically everything we needed and more. Having previously stayed at Travelodge's, this was a great step up - I felt the staff genuinely cared about us having a good stay.

I wasn't sure what to expect because the price was low for a London hotel. However, I needn't have worried. The room was spotless, the beds were comfy and there was a good choice for breakfast. There was no street noise to speak of and the hotel was very handy for the Tube and lots of family restaurants. The staff were friendly too so all good really.

We had two rooms for parents and us with our 2yr old. Great service and smiley staff the whole 4days, as usual great breakfast and the evening meal deal was really good. Shame no parking but that's not unusual and wouldn't stop us staying again. Would love to return as a great base in west london

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in the middle if the recent heat wave in London. It was great to have an air conditioned room. The location is very convenient. 3 minute walk to the earls court tube stop. 10-15 walk to Kensington palace or the Victoria and Albert museum.

Rooms are 'continental' - small by US standards but clean, modern and all you really need is a bed when on vacation like this. Spend the rest of your time seeing the sites.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 5th or 6th floor on the annex side of the hotel.

The Premier Inn Kensington, on Knaresborough Place, was our 2nd choice this trip, as P.I.'s Cromwell Road hotel had already been booked solid. But the Knaresborough property is just a few blocks away and turned out to be a good experience itself. P.I. seems to strive to offer guests a consistent experience regardless of location, and they certainly succeeded. (Indeed, even the wall art in our London room was identical to that in our P.I. room in Edinburgh.)
The staff at the Knaresborough property were courteous and helpful, and the rooms were small-ish, but clean and comfortable. No problem at all with road noise from outside. The location is great: the Earl's Court tube station is just a short walk away, and Earl's Court Road offers all the logistical support one might need during one's stay: laundry, post office, ATM/cash machine, Sainsbury market. Not only that, but there is a long rack of "Boris Bikes" out front of the hotel which seem to get quite a bit of use.
Like other P.I.'s, this property has a Thyme restaurant integral to it, and it offers breakfast each morning.
Yes, there were a few glitches, all minor: the soft drink vending machine on the ramp to the elevators was out of service for our entire five-day stay (so, just walk down to Sainsbury's); I'm not sure the room's climate control was working (so, just open the window); and the many families with small children seemed to result in much debris underfoot during breakfast (so, don't look at the floor).
But on balance, I found this Premiere Inn to be a comfortable stay at a reasonable price in a very convenient location. It certainly stays on our hotel candidate list for next time. If only the WiFi was free instead of "first 30 minutes only".....

Room Tip: Because the hotel sits on top of a exposed subway line below its west face, rooms on that side might...
