Amazing staff, they KNOW how to party and to look after you. Perfect location, so close to soho, Carnaby, the tube and Oxford! Amazing place. The rooms are what you would expect in a cheap hostel, we stayed in a 8-12 bed dorm when we were there (stayed there 3 times) the occasional naked man was frightening. But we made incredible friends and I highly recommend this hostel!

My friend and I spent here 3 nights. Sheets were dirty and ragged (though the staff changed them after our complains). Rooms are cold and dirty (it was February), hall is freezing (especially when you have to get form the shower to your room) and overall expression is terrible. The only one good thing was its excellent location. Everything is at walking distance.

My wife and I spent one night here. We made reservations and all was fine when we checked in. We've stayed at hostel's before so our expectations were not a 5 star hotel. We just wanted a room and bed and that is what we got. The staff were very helpful and polite. They explained everything. It was a challenge finding the place for the first time and it didn't help that it was raining/snowing when trying to find it. But we did and the location is 1/2 block from the tube. Whole Foods market store is also across the street and we ate there. We got clean sheets and blankets. Remember to bring your own towel.

This hostel was dirty, uncared for and definitely in need of more than a little TLC. The staff were creepy, especially the guys on the ground floor checking girls out and saying inappropriate things when they came in or went out. It felt like I was rattling around in an asylum. The showers had no privacy except for mouldy shower curtains, there was no where to put your stuff while showering except for one set of hooks on the opposite wall or the floor, which constantly floods. There was only 2 power-points in a 6 bed dorm, the wifi is expensive, and the staff on the ground floor were either too engrossed in the television or just didn't care about you at all, so I pretty much had to figure out where to check in all by myself. The elevator didn't work either. The one plus was the friendly guy that worked in the baggage store and bookings area. He was so helpful and friendly it made it worth while. If it wasn't for the location I would have left immediately.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here

I spent here 5 days with a female group of friends. The hostel is simple, particularly coloured and it gives the possibility to meet many young people. That's great for those who travel alone or those who need a very comfortable hostel to visit the city. It's 1 minute far from the famous "Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain" in Piccadilly Circus.

I was there in january 2013 and I wanna show you the positives and negatives aspects of this hostel.
Potives one:
-Really good position, in fact it is located in the center of London, so close to Piccadilly Cirus.
-Cheapest hostel that I had ever found
-Friendly staff

Negatives one:
-Terrible cleaning conditions
-Very old building (don't be surprise if you see some cracks in the walls)
-Bad sheets
-Orrible bathroom conditions

So I really should have read the reviews for this place before going ahead and booking it.

Although the place is cheap, it's still not worth the money! We arrived and the place looked like a jail. It wasn't inviting at all. Got to the room, a bed, that's it, nothing else.

The bathrooms weren't kept clean the girls waste bins were overflowing... absolutely disgusting.

The internet didn't work although it was still advertised, no phone, to breakfast as advertised.

During the nights people were having parties in their rooms and the place just echos so it sounded like they were right in your room yelling at 3am. No one came to patrol the floors to prevent this from happening, so had to put up with it. Then the second night, same thing, parties and doors slamming every 2 minutes. Fire alarm went off twice without there even being a fire, then no one came to inform anyone what was actually happening so everyone stood in the halls confused about whether or not to evacuate.

All in all, a really horrible place. I'm pretty sure that they've closed down as of today. Thank god.

Room Tip: dont even book one!
