I have spent a week here at this hostel and found it to be really comfortable. The rooms are clean and look newly renovated. The self-catering kitchen is great. It is close to Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus tube stations. Bars and restaurants nearby too (and Starbucks!). Staff at reception are helpful with information about tours and attractions and can sell you discounted tickets. The only downside would have to be most of the rooms being stairs accessible only - so pack light if you don't want to put your back out lugging a suitcase upstairs!

Central location and well-kept facilities. Very basic rooms. The value you get is average. If it wouldn't be London, I'd call it simply outrageous. You have to pay separately for everything: towels, breakfast, Wi-Fi. There are nice hotels around which come pretty close to what this YHA charges. If not for the location, I wouldn't come back to this hostel. Oh: don't forget your earplugs!

I stated here with my 4 year old daughter in one of the family rooms. It was perfect for us. I was impressed with the kitchen facilities, the staff were friendly, the room was quiet despite it being so central. I would definitely come here again.

Great hostel, the staff were friendly & helpful. There is ample amount of showers & toilets I think 4-6 of each on each level for the 4 days we were there we didn't have to wait at all to use these. The rooms are basic as stated in the hostel description at that's all you really need, there's a cupboard that you can use your own lock to keep your personal belongings in although I found the room quite safe so it wasn't entirely necessary. There was also a sink with mirror, desk & stool, a few power-points and a reading light next to the bed. The have computers and wifi options but this is at a small cost. It's less than a 5 min walk to the underground tube making it easy to get everywhere. I think the only downside is the stairs the lift only goes to reception on level 3 and our room was on level 5, it's hard when you've been walking around all day but you get used to it... GREAT HOSTEL! Really enjoyed our stay!

We spent 5 nights here in the Oxford st yha in a double room. Good clean facilities (bathrooms always clean even though they are shared), kitchen facilities available and a very helpful set of staff who are on hand 24/7. The location of this yha is my main reason for this being my third stay here, it is within walking distance to so many of London's great sights and is right near the tube with 3 lines for those who prefer the train. So many restaurants and shops around. Wifi is not included in the cost of your room but you can always duck over to Starbucks or the apple store to get it for free. There is also luggage storage at a cost. I would recommend getting the 'twin' room even if travelling as a couple as the rooms aren't quite big enough to comfortably accommodate a double bed and your bags etc. I would stay again!

I've stayed at a few YHA hostels in London and this is by far my favourite. It's bright, modern, and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Close to the Tube. I stayed in a four-person dorm room and it was great. Had an in-room sink and we all had personal reading lights by our bunks. Only down side was the stairs, but there's a lift so it's not a problem.

Highly recommended to other travellers. YHA Oxford Street is my #1 choice for a place to sleep in London now.

Close to Oxford street and the tube station, so it's a convenient location. Two grocery stores within 5min walking distance.

The rooms appeared clean, showers were busy in the morning but excellent otherwise. The staff were helpful and friendly.

There's quite a bit of stairs to go through. The lift will hold three people comfortably or four people uncomfortably. The lift will only take you as far as the reception. Stairs weren't a problem for us but an intoxicated individual might stumble.

Universal adapter plugs were available to buy or rent.

Room Tip: The walls are thin, and according to the other people traveling with us the rooms facing the street...
