I stayed here with my sister for 5 days on the final leg of our Europe trip and we really enjoyed our stay.

The hostel is in a superb location - just 1 block from Oxford Street (shopping, shopping, shopping) and a 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus station. Going south we were then only a 5 minute walk to Piccadilly Circus and the soho theatre district.

Its my understanding that the hotel underwent some renovations a few months before we arrived, so we were lucky to stay in a hostel that was pretty much brand new.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, the rooms arent huge (we stayed in a 4 bed dorm) but the space has been used well. 2 cupboards for luggage and pullout boxes underneath the bottom bunk bed (don't forget to bring your own locks). Each bed in the room had its own shelf attached to the wall which had a lamp and powerpoint (very convenient for charging your phone overnight). Also, a sink and mirror was in the room, so you didnt have to go down to the bathroom to brush your teeth in the evening - I thought this was a great idea.

The kitchen area was always clean and the lounge area was quite a reasonable size with plenty of beanbags and seating (although we didnt spend a lot of time in there).

The staff were friendly, but I think the wi-fi internet was quite overpriced (dont remember the exact price), so we actually just used the free wi-fi inside the McDonalds up the road.

We had a little trouble using the phone and phone card we had to buy through the staff and in the end we just went downstairs and used the payphone outside on the street just outside the hostel.

I would definitely stay here again simply because of the location and I also preferred that it was a smaller hostel.

We stayed in this hostel during our Christmas shopping visit to London and we could not have chosen a better located hostel - right next to the Oxford Street, to the Soho, in the walking distance from Seven Dials and Covent Garden, this hostel provided us with a nice place from where we could start.

The hostel itself was ok - the bathrooms were clean, the kitchen nice, the common areas provided plenty of space and the hostel even sells some drinks and snacks, so we had no trouble with staying there. The rooms were small, but provided all we needed - bed, cabinets, small bedsize shelves with power outlets and lamps.

The only problems we encountered were:
- The cabinets in the rooms have no locks. You have to either bring your own or BUY one at the reception (needless to say those are not cheap). However since the rooms are locked by cards, we just skipped this option and left our things in rooms and nothing went missing, so don't worry.
- The rooms don't provide enough space to store the luggage - we had an average size suitcase and it did not fit in the lockers or below bed, so we had to just leave it in the middle of the room, which is not
- The wifi in the hostel was extra. We found out it's better to just walk to some of the cafes or bars around, most of which has free wifi.

Room Tip: If you're staying in one of the dorms, bring your own padlock for the cabinets!

Great location, very good prices, clean rooms. Do take Padlock and towels otherwise you'll have to pay for them. Discounts for the attractions can be purchased at the front desk. Very nice staff.

We stayed in a private room with shared bathrooms for three nights in early December. The room was very clean, modern and new. However, the beds were a little hard and it was difficult to climb up to the top bunk. There was also an irritating green light that continued to shine after the main light had been switched off and disrupted our sleep. The shared bathrooms were clean and the shower pressure was great, especially after a day walking in the rain! However, the shower and our room were next to the kitchen and just down the hall from the reception desk so it often got quite noisy and you could smell whatever was cooking in the kitchen. The hostel was conveniently located near Oxford St and the staff could get you cheap tickets to some of the major attractions and West End shows in London. It costs £3 to leave your bags in lockers in the luggage room on departure and there is no free wifi – like we found in many other YHAs around the UK. We would recommend this hostel because it is good value for money and close to excellent restaurants and cafes. However, bear in mind that this hostel is located in a busy part of London and it is often noisy throughout the night.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for five nights in November. Overall we had a great experience, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed and we were able to get tickets to see Wicked though them for 20 pounds, as opposed to 55 pounds! The location is perfect as well, we were just a couple blocks from Carnaby street which is a great place for shopping and nightlife. There are tons of great restaurants and pubs in the area so you'll never run out of options. The only downside is that the beds weren't the most comfortable, but if you're exhausted from partying you won't mind. The rooms are small but they work fine if you don't plan on being there very much. The showers and toilets were shared but still private and very clean. This is a great place to stay if you're new to London and most of your time is going to be spent exploring, not if you want a cozy place to sleep in and have romantic indoor time. The staff was able to direct us towards restaurants and attractions and were never too busy to stop and show us a map or to just chat about our experiences in the city. I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: We were traveling as a couple but the room we got had bunk beds instead of a double bed, so make sur...
