I stayed at this hotel because I needed to be in Vauxhall for an important appointment at 8am the next day.

The room they gave me was on the ground floor right next to the reception it was small and shabby, there were marks and scratches all over the walls.
The bed post was completely broken, the bathroom was the smallest it was like a cupboard very hard to get in and out of and it also stank.
The remote to the TV had the batteries sellotaped in, and the bed did not look overly clean.
I put up with all of this because it was so important to me to get a nights sleep and be close enough to Vauxhall to get there at 8am on a Sunday morning.

But then when I tried to sleep, There was so much noise coming from reception I could not!
I think the room I was given was maybe a room they use for staff.
I asked to be moved but they said they could not move me.
I would never stay in this hotel again even if they paid me.

This is not a luxury hotel. There are lots of things that could be improved upon. However I can not find any serious fault with the place, so for the price, being that it's in central London, I can not complain. Basic is the word I would use to describe nearly everything, no frills, nothing fancy, but the bed was comfy, bedding clean, decent towels provided as well as a plentiful supply of tea and coffee and whitener (although they did not provide any teaspoons).
I would not rush back to stay, but would consider it again if I needed a cheap place just to sleep whilst staying in London again.

this isnt a 5 star hotel but it will do if you need somewhere to sleep for the night.we had room 32 in the blair hotel(the tudor is opposite). Yes the room was small with double bed open wardrobe and a table with ample tea and coffee and hairdryer. The toilet was very clean with shower cubicle. fresh sheets and pillowcases were on the bed.carpet seemed clean.window looked out onto an internal courtyard.I would put the room in the same category as one of the old chalets at Butlins. The room very warm (too much in fact)

Myself my mother and my little sister stayed here on Sat 9 Mar 13. Bearing in mind that the hotel was pretty much central to London and 10 minutes away from the nearest underground station I understand that paying £80 for a triple room was a good deal, and the price reflects what you get. I booked the room as somewhere to literally get our heads down for the night, and it did the trick. Yes the building itself could have done with a bit of a refub and a deep clean but our bedding was clean, the shower & toilet in our room was clean and we had a working TV. If your wanting luxury - then no, don't book here. But if your looking for somewhere cheap just to sleep for the night then this will do the trick. The breakfast the next morning was okay, nothing to rave about, toast, tea and orange juice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with it's own WC if you don't like the idea of a communal one.

The communal areas are filthy. The carpets in the passages (more like a maze) are dilapidated and smeary dirty. We were the lucky winners of room 40 - a rathole underneath the ground. The furniture are broken and dirty. Cupboards- No handles. The blankets and overthrows disgusting dirty. Room window 50 cm from store room window. No space between two beds- only one person can dress per time.
The breakfast disgusting.
A smeary,filthy terrible place.
DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!!!!
Booking companies should take this listing off their books /sites - disgusting!

Room Tip: Rooms in maze holes are terrible Do not book any room at this terrible place....even if it is offer...

Booked for 2 nights (by mistake!!) Could only bear one ... and that was an ordeal! Arrived late after going to a show. Had double room with shower (no toilet, that was on another floor). Toilet floor wet with what I can only assume was urine! No soap to wash hands and nothing to dry them on. Room had shower but it did not work and could not get a wash as although there was a sink it did not have a plug. Bedding consisted of a sheet and a bedspread. The sheet looked ok but bedspread looked filthy so had to discard it. There were a couple of blankets in wardrobe - but were brown so couldn`t detect whether they were clean or not! Ample supplies of tea and coffee (but no spoon). Complained about lack of shower the next day but staff disinterested. Could not bear to stay another night (more Blair Witch than Blair Victoria!). Asked to cancel second night at 10am but was told we had to give 48 hours notice. The whole awful experience therefore cost us £130. If you must stay here, bring wellies and your own bedding and go to McDonalds for breakfast!!! (Based on experience of room, toilet and presentation of staff did not dare risk breakfast!)

Room Tip: Forget it!! Anywhere but here!!

Booked for 2 nights 19-21st march 2013, had to check into different hotel for second night and didn't feel comfortable here at all. Twin room was sub-standard, no furniture except very small bedside cabinet, no lamp, curtains hanging off rail, bed linen had seen better days, hot water needed 5 min to heat up (tap behind shower stream so burnt hand trying to cool it). Awful place - cold, no heating (told it didn't come on until 4pm - it was 230pm when we checked-in), used the electric heater already in the room but still cold. The whole place needs a lick of paint, very shabby. To top it of, told to hand keys at reception every time we left hotel, returned at night and reception unmanned and keys easily obtainable. Had to wait 10 min for reception person to return (we were not the only one's waiting). Continental breakfast was included - barely edible.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else and pay the price of the better hotel!
