I've just returned from an overnight stay in this hotel. It is just a short walk from Paddington Station along a busy but safe road. The hotel itself is set back on a tree lined street and is quiet and secure. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the fact that a full breakfast was included was a really positive addition. The rooms are a good size; all we wanted was a place to lay our heads at night after a busy day in London. The bathroom is in a self-contained cubicle which is quite space-age looking. It is clean, reliable and very convenient.

Room Tip: A great location if you are travelling into and from Paddington!

A very pleasant experience. I booked a single room for just one night through Booking.com. On checking in I asked for a 'quiet room' as I had an interview the next morning; in order to give me the quietest room available Simon (the owner) gave me a complimentary upgrade to room 1, a double on the lower ground floor. Simon is charming and friendly, helpful and informative - providing all kinds of useful information about the local and wider London area.
Room 1 is a modern, spotlessly clean room with everything you need - lovely powerful shower, toiletries, hair dryer, safe, usb charging points, tv, wifi and free tea and coffee (in reception). Comfortable bed for a great night's sleep.
The area is really pleasant and convenient - 2 mins from Paddington station, lots of bars, restaurants, shops etc hotel is on a busy, but tree-lined street, a beautiful Victorian buidling that has been stylishly refurbished.
Breakfast was very nice - juice, cereals, tea n coffee, pastries - very friendly staff offering all variations of the full English cooked breakfast.
I would highly recommend this hotel for overnight business trips, short city breaks, or even a longer visit/holiday as it provides excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Room 1 is on the lower ground floor - very quiet, but no mobile phone signal.

Lovely, clean room. Basic but perfectly formed for 3 day stay in london. Great location as a base; 2 minute walk to Paddington station, close to Hyde park & Oxford Street. Nice, quiet street - felt safe. Nice breakfast- bacon, fried egg, beans, tomato, toast & selection of cereals. Staff were polite & friendly. Capsule bathroom, limited space for a larger person. Would definitely stay again.

Recently re-furbished. Very clean, smart, modern. The staff seem to genuinely care about service and quality. Free wi-fi. Complimentary water and coffee in reception. Lovely little independent hotel. Stylish decor in the rooms.
Small rooms, but ideal for a city break.
Great value for money. And close to lots of restaurants, pubs and Paddington station.

Sussex Gardens is a busy road but is lined with trees and feels pleasant.
The Omega is in a very good neighbourhood with many shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and transport links nearby.
The hotel is small but is no worse for that. The interior has recently been refurbished and the decor, carpet and furniture are all new. There is still an aroma of new carpet!
The rooms are small but have everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. There was a flat screen TV attached to the wall with a good selection of Freeview channels.
There are no tea and coffee-making facilities in the room but a cuppa could be made in the foyer and taken to the room.
The bed was comfortable and the shower 'room', although tiny, was adequate. Some toiletries were supplied but a hand towel as well as a bath towel would have been appreciated......
The English breakfast served (by a very pleasant lady) in the basement breakfast room was perfectly cooked and provided a good start to the day. There are also cereals available and as much toast as required.
The front desk staff were friendly and proved knowledgable about the area and the intricacies of travelling in London.
We ate at the Monkey Puzzle (pub) across the road from the hotel and were happy with the food and the ambience - more of a 'local' than a city pub. A good pasta meal can also be had at Mimo's Italian Cafe Bar on London Street (next to Sussex Gardens).
Paddington Station is not far away and we discovered that if you walk through the station concourse there is a canal towpath which provides a very pleasant walk to London Zoo (about 40 or 50 minutes walk) and Camden.
There is no lift in the hotel and an offer of help with the cases up to the third floor would have been appreciated.....
In conclusion, The Omega provides good, clean and value for money facilities. We would not hesitate to stay again when visiting the capital.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front may be noisy - our room (10) was at the back and very quiet.

I had a really great stay here, they have updated it since my last visit and the new decor is very stylish and modern. It is very close to transport links to the tube and Paddington station and there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.
