We booked a 3days/2nights stay in London.

Our first room we received, was located in the basement and the walls of our room were still being plastered and painted due to the fact that a rack broke down. There were 3 seperate beds on our room (while we booked a 2 persons room). Furthermore the bathroom was just a small cabin (similar to the toilet cabin on an airplane) which just fitted a sink, toilet and shower.

After our complaint with the reception, they were not very interested in our problem and told us to come back after 2 hours when the room would be finished...

Two hours later we received a new room as the works were not yet finished. Our new room was located on the top floor (no access by elevator). There were no works being executed, nevertheless the same bathroom cabin was installed.

As we were only staying for 2 nights and we rather wanted to explore London instead of arguing with hotel management, we accepted the room.

Positive: good location
Negative: older rooms, small bathrooms, unhelpful staff, disappointing breakfast, no free internet/wifi

I would not recommend this hotel if you give great value to your room and hotel experience. If you do want to go to this hotel, make sure you ask for the better rooms.

From the tiny elevator to the microscopic bathroom (with clear window and no curtain or blind and malfunctioning toilet) and miniature double room with budget 1980s bedspread, everything disappointed at this hotel. No air conditioning, disinterested staff, and paper thin walls complete the picture.

I bought a week stay in a double room in paddington as part of a work experience/holiday... We arrived and were placed in a room which was little more than a corridor! Tiny twin room, minuscule windows, stifling hot and a shower which I could barely turn in! We instantly complained and were told that by booking a double we would be given a twin if none were available. Be careful what you buy as we had a lot of hassle changing rooms, even though it was on the booking form and receipt! I would not stay here again and the management didn't seem to care about this issue. We were not compensated and I didn't appreciate that I was treated as an idiot for their mistake. The room if you are lucky enough to get a double is lovely, but in all honesty I would book somewhere else; somewhere with no hidden catches or twists in booking.

Great location hotel, that's where it ends!

- Very rude uninterested staff
- No free WI-FI
- Poor facilities and very basic breakfast, toast and cereal that's it
- Dirty beds that need replacing
- Tv had no remote
- Well over priced for what you get
- Noisy at night as walls are thin

Even if your standards are low, you'll be disappointed- Avoid at all costs!!

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

Based on stay from 19/07 untill 22/07
Room: very small but tidy, no airco
Bathroom: small and tidy, showertemperature is not constant
Wifi: not free, but 10pound per day!
Reception: very frienldly, ask here you remote control for 10p deposit
Breakfast: poor: egg, toast or cereals with coffee/tea or 1 juice. TIP: eat out nearby !
Location: PERFECT: 3 minutes from Paddington station and 5 min form Hyde Park, nice surroundings and enough nearby bars/shops and restaurants
Hotel general: elevator only untill 3rd floor!! Location not included, no 3 stars worthy.

Room Tip: Choose a room at lower floors not viewing Sussex Gardens-road!
