“Enjoyable Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyable stay at a unique location. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Rooms are a good size and were clean and tidy.

We enjoyed the vouchers offering discounts at the associated bars and restaurants, including Marco Pierre White.

Close to Fulham Broadway station and access into central London. Very close to the fashionable Chelsea district.

Had a night here on Thursday. Good place to stay if you want to watch Chelsea play football at their home ground. Marco Pierre White has a restaurant here a - good for steak, fish etc. Bed rather uncomfortable, but apart from that, adequate.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view!

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We were extremely pleased to hear that your stay with us was an enjoyable one. We were however disappointed to hear that you found your bed uncomfortable and do hope you brought this to the attention of the Duty Manager so that they had a chance to rectify this for you. Next time why not visit on a non-match day and explore Kings road as well as Chelsea Harbour which is located close by. We thank you once again for your comments and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Stayed at the Copthorne Hotel at CFC in mid April for eight nights. Husband is a CFC fan so he was pleased and was able to get to two matches whilst there including them playing at Wembley. Booked through Superbreaks as a mystery hotel but had a fair idea which hotel it was going to be either the Copthorne or the Millennium. Price included breakfast and there was a good choice of a cooked breakfast, fruit, cereals, juices, toast and you could ask for eggs to be cooked whatever way you wanted they were brought to your table along with tea or coffee.
We had room 716 at the back of the hotel, great views of London could see the Shard and the Post Office Tower in the distance. Room was a good size double room with King size bed and a sofa, armchair, dressing table etc. There was also tea, coffee and biscuits replenished daily by housekeeping. Room and bathroom very clean. Staff were very helpful, arrived at 12.30, concierge took our luggage which was great as we didn't arrive back until after 6. Same going home, left our luggage at 8am and collected it after 4pm.
Didn't eat any other meals in hotel so cannot comment on dinner. As other reviewers said 5 minutes walk from Fulham Broadway Tube Station where there were many shops including Boots, Sainsburys and Starbucks. We got the tube from Heathrow and changed at Earls Court, so that was handy, Hubby had stayed at the hotel before so he knew the area well.
Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is attached to the CFC stadium. On game days it can be a mess to get in and out of. I got this from Hotwire and thus under GBP 100 it is ok, although not exactly what I had in mind as regards the suggested location of Knightsbridge, Chelsea area. The wifi is really wierd and even after paying the connection tends to keep dying. Rooms are ok. Try and get a room in the Copthorne if possible as wifi is free.

I travel al lthe time with business, and I have stayed here a few times, this time it was leisure, I like Chelsea/Fulham to stay as it's easy to get anywhere from here, but it can be very relaxed as a good London location, almost peacefull.

Whilst I can understand some of the comments regarding service kind of............, get over yourselves, this is what it says on the tin, a very good hotel, at a very reasonable price in a great location, and I would reccomend this to anyone wanting a relaxing break in the beating heart of a city.

Our room was immaculatly clean, the twin beds had been zipped together as requested when we booked, as they could not guarentee a double room, NICE.......this made for a comfortable and very large bed with a great sleep, WIFI was free, well done ! it does realy matter, the in room system also provided connectivity via the TV, which was handy for the wife.

Bathroom - Bright and very clean, shower great.

The hotel felt very secure, the conciarge guys, always a cheery hello, and looked after our cases on the last day.

Lots of local shops and eateries, hop on the tube five minutes away at fulham broadway and you can get anywhere very quickly, Taxi's easy if later in the evening, which is not always the case in London, and again this location is close to many london attractions

Staff were efficant - I find it very hard to criticize this hotel.

if you can get a deal, then this is a stunning solution. But I looked at the Rack rates and thought that all things considered they are not bad.

Room Tip: Let them know your requirements in advance, we did and they helped with them

The hotel is fine, bog standard corporate hotel . I stayed as a special rate from lastminute.com . For that price the place was great, however if i was paying full rates for this hotel i would be very disappointed. The rooms were fine, but the beds are small. The place looked a little run down with stains on the carpet. Unless you are going to a Chelsea game the location is a bit awkward.

Breakfast is ludicrously over priced for what amounts to airline quality - go to the pret or Starbucks in the tube station for nicer and cheaper breakfast

I booked this as an Expedia "mystery" hotel, billed as being close to Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, and found out I'd be staying by Chelsea Football Club. I was not too pleased, but was somewhat comforted in advance by checking the TripAdvisor reviews of recent guests. Indeed, the hotel is a 10 pound taxi ride away from Harrods and several tube stops away from Sloane Square and not within easy walking distance of anywhere central. HOWEVER, I did start exploring and found that it is a delightful neighbourhood (where in London isn't?). I first headed down Fulham Road and found that my favourite bookstore Daunt's (for travellers, a must!) was nearby and a writers' evening was in full swing. There were lots of nice restaurants in the same stretch of Fulham Road (about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel). I had good meals at the Pizza Express and with a friend at Sophie's Steakhouse. On the last day of my three night stay I took the bus back along King's Road from Sloane Square, and found blocks of lovely antique stores on King's Road, also within 5 minutes walking distance of the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were well-appointed, and the concierge was helpful. The Fulham Broadway tube station was 5 minutes away. My only complaint was that the whole building was overheated. I looked at rooms in both the Millenium and the Copthorne when I arrived ahead of check-in time. They seemed very similar. The Italian sports bar restaurant was very cheerful and the food fine. In short, I would stay again without qualms if I could get the same deal the next time. This, despite not knowing much about Chelsea Football Club, other than the fact that it is owned by Abramovich!
