The hotel is well located and the rooms are 4 star level. Breakfast is ok except the service a lot of staff but not very helpful and active. Got bad experience from the maid who keeping asking to clean my room on the 27 morning at 10am as I supposed to checked out. The management is not flexible I need to bargain like hell to keep my luggage with the condition to make an advance purchase room stay with the hotel. Then when I need to change the date I have to pay the difference which is normal then now they don’t want to change the date at all saying it’s an advance purchase and the law of the hotel is one time change only even I propose again to pay the difference price .
I understand but hotel is business and has to be manage by commercial people not strict as they are. They rather be strict to the breakfast staff than clients who pay !!!!! Except this management problem to strict for hotels it’s a good 4 star reception nice and good location.
Please change management or ask Christopher the manager I’m unhappy with to be more commercial and less strict

Thank you for your feedback on our property and the services we provide

As explained at the time of booking, the advance purchase program offers discounts on our best available flexible rates, under the terms and conditions of this program, to receive the discounted rate, payment is taken at the time of booking and that they are non transferable and non refundable in the event of a cancellation. At this time you requested to leave luggage with us to which we were more then pleased to do so as your were a retuning guest,


On your return back to the hotel prior to the arrival date to leave more items you requested to amend the reservation, the team member reiterated the terms and condition of the booking and advised that here at the Chamberlain as a gesture of goodwill should a guest not be able to keep the original reservation date we will offer the booker the opportunity to put the reservation on hold for a period of three months. Once a new date is provided we will make and confirm the booking and advise at that time of any rate difference that the new booking will incur and also that the original terms and conditions of the booking applies, after several dates you proffered a new date of arrival was agreed and the additional payment taken.

The following day you returned back to the hotel, collected your belongings and advised that you no longer needed the amended advance purchase reservation, the team member on the desk at that time explained the terms and conditions of the booking and that no refund will be offered. you then contacted myself and I reiterated our original conversation and the policy of the program.

With regards to our housekeeping team requesting to service your room on the day of departure our policy is that we only enter a room to service after the check out time or when the guest has vacated the room, on checking our logs for the duration of your original stay we are unable to find any concerns raised with regards to this incident and therefore we offer our sincere apologies.

Our mission is to provide quality and comfortable accommodation with secondary services delivered by a warm and welcoming team, we also believe that from the moment our guests arrive to the day of their departure we will always do our utmost to ensure that they are made to feel welcome, with good hospitality, attention to detail and by going the extra mile where possible we hope that all our guests do have a great stay whilst with us. it is with regret that failed on this occasion.

Matheo8888, it is with regret that you are not happy with the service you received during and post of your stay even though we believe that we did do everything within our power to accommodate your requests, terms and conditions are in place to protect both the customer and the service provider to avoid situations as such, therefore taking your request into consideration no refund will be offered should you wish to continue with the cancellation

Stayed for one night as a business trip. Asked for quiet room which I was given. Hotel has five floors. Check in very quick and always someone on the front desk. Hotel has bright and modern lobby area which flows into a bar and restaurant, which I believe has recently been renovated. Menu is not overly pricy and quite typical for the local area, offers a smaller choice which I think is usually a good sign - food served until 10pm and bar area open until 11. There is also a basement cocktail bar.
Hotel located under 5 minutes walk (only around the corner) from Aldgate tube station and a longer walk to the bigger Liverpool Street station. Lots of eating and drinking places within walking distance and a co-op shop two minutes down the road for any essentials.
Room was spotlessly clean and offered everything and more. Slippers and bathrobe, big bath separate to a cubicle shower, huge bathroom with marble and tile design and fluffy towels.
Bedroom had spotless carpet and bedlinen, flat screen TV, nespresso machine, mini fridge with complimentaries, good sized wardrobe with ironing board, hairdryer, safe. Plenty of lamps and a full size mirror.
Thermostat for the room, I had mine on 10 degrees overnight as hotel rooms usually are too hot, needless to say it was still quite warm - I think it just the insulation of the building.
Complimentary newspaper offered to guests in early morning and breakfast served for additional charge in the restaurant area, continental and cooked offering. Room service also for the breakfast.
Cleaners or something seemed to be on my floor very early on as it was quite noisy. Apart from that it was quiet during the night. I would specify if you want a good view, I presumed all rooms would have this, judging by the photos online, however, mine faced another building which made it quite dark - not a problem for me only staying for one night but I would request a good view if you are staying for leisure/longer period.
Would return as the amount I paid was excellent value for the area.
Can get from Kings Cross/Euston stations to the hotel within about 15-20 minute total journey.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Chamberlain. No complaints. We arrived a bit early and they had our request for a early check in and were able to honor. This was such a welcome after a super long journey. Our room was tidy, looked fairly updated and the bathroom was definitely new. The room had two windows but not much of view but hey, that’s alright. We didn’t eat at the their restaurant but did see many others enjoying. Overall, at such an amazing price you can not beat this hotel. We could walk to many stores and restaurants and it was just a small trek to the tube. Our highlight of the trip was the Tower of London which is literally right next door. We would not hesitate return.

The Chamberlain is a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. We have booked our study abroad group at the hotel for many years. In addition to the excellent front desk and restaurant staff and service, the hotel location is very convenient near the Tower Hill underground, Tower of London and the London Financial District. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable.
