Old hotel but lovely modern room and 2 mins from underground into Oxford street also ideal location for bars we wanted to use. 5 mins walk from sky bar. Breakfast was included and was fine, lots of choice, but avoid the sausages! They were like rubber! Will be staying here again when in London More

The Hotel exceeded expectations. I was upgraded and found the room to be a very good size, comfy and clean. The staff and service was very good. Meals were excellent and good value. I was there on business so location and cost was important - this was near to centre of city and very good value.

Enjoyed our weekend stay very nice room very quiet. Good location near Tower of London, bus to Covent Garden 100yds from hotel fare only £1.50p,breakfast had a wide range of options all excellent, received a complementary drink as main lift under repair had to use staff lift but not a problem

Loved our experience at the Chamberlain Hotel, and much of that has to do with the location and the restaurant/pub in the main lobby. We wanted to stay at a place that felt like a true British hotel, and Chamberlain fit the bill. What we didn't expect was how wonderful the location was even though it was a little outside of the hub-bub of areas like Picadilly. The hotel is within very easy walking distance of the Tower of London and is basically equidistant from two tube lines, which makes traveling to other parts of London very easy.
The pub at the hotel was great--a perfect place to grab a pint before our after a night out, and there are some other great pubs within walking distance as well. The room was small, but for the price, we couldn't complain. The staff was always willing to answer our questions and provide us recommendations.
We'd definitely recommend this place to friends and stay here again.

I agree with you that we are slightly away from the hustle and bustle of some of the main tourist areas, however with the fantastic transport links it is easy to get access to anywhere - just with the added benefit of a quiet night sleep.

Weekend visit. Booked online with Booking.com and got a good price for a City of London hotel. Located equidistant from Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations the hotel was a 5 minute walk from either station. Quick and efficient check in a courteous and friendly staff throughout the hotel. We much prefer this type of hotel than the large chain hotels which all seem to be the same. Excellent location on Minories and a good base for our weekend trip though being in the city most of the nearby restaurants and bars are closed at the weekend. Breakfast was very good and we ate a couple of times in the bar also. We'll definitely visit The Chamberlain Hotel again.
