Really decent hotel.Stayed on a special weekend break, good price, understandable why its usually more expensive.Very good helpful friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.Ok,the air con was struggling a little, but we were told this by Liz,the general manager,a really nice lady who made us feel very welcome and our patronage valued.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone, and will certainly be making a return visit,in fact, looking forward to it already! 9.5/10,haven't found a 10 ever yet!

Anyone looking for a fine hotel in the heart of the City can do no better than stay at The Chamberlain. Good value for money, of course, but - more than that - is the welcoming feeling a guest experiences, along with friendly, attentive and professional service backed up by good (though, in fairness, not excellent!) dining, a well-priced wine list and excellent (yes - I did say "excellent"!) breakfast choices, place the Chamberlain right at the top of my list.
To finish, I want to make a constructive comment. The measure of a really good hotel (and it's management) is the manner in which a guest crisis is handled and dealt with. I was "fortunate" enough to stay there on one of the hottest days of the year, when Murphy's Law kicked in. The hotel's air-conditioning system failed! The way in which the Manager, Ms McLelland, and her excellent staff dealt with this disaster was impressive and highly professional. They turned a crisis into a triumph and I'd bet there wasn't one guest that wasn't satisfied with the magnificent effort they all put in to keeping us comfortable and happy! Well done!

We found the hotel staff to be very courteous and extremely pleasant, the hotel is very close to the tower of London and is ideally situated to explore the south bank and river Thames. The hotel offers a high standard of accommodation with extremely comfortable beds and nicely decorated rooms. Breakfast had a very good choice and was ample. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a good base to get around London . The only downside was that the local pubs and restaurants where closed at the weekend with it being in the heart of the city , but within a short walk there was plenty of places open. A very nice and clean hotel would definitely stay here again . A great hotel .

Room Tip: We had a double room which was ample only downside was it was very hot but to be fair they were experiencing problems with the air conditioning.

We had a nice 2 night stay in a great room for a very quick rediscovery of London for our first visit in over 30 years. This whetted our appetite to return. Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. The taxi they called for us to go to a show in the West End was a BMW 7 series limousine! It was very hot in London at that time so lack of aircondioning was about the only improvement we'd look out for next time, if travelling in the summer. There was a great pub as part of the hotel with some lovely boutique beers and wonderful food.

Rooms of good standard and value for money eatery. The rooms are of good size and service is great. I suppose best of all as you would expect from the owners is THE ALE!!! The breakfast was great if not a little pricey
