Hotel located very near tube stop. Room was lovely-very spacious. Turn down service at night, which was a nice touch, especially with a chocolate placed on the pillow. Bathroom was very big. Hotel bar was nice and was a good place to have a drink after a long day sightseeing

If you want to stay right in the city two steps away from the Tower of London Chamberlain is a good choice. 170 Euro per night is not much for London.

A very well soundproofed hotel (you are in the center, it's important), a British indoor, and some gadgets including the TV in the bathroom.

Breakfast is not great in continental version (to pay some extra British version), but is served in the restaurant with all the necessary British morgue.

My partner booked this hotel for us for our 2 year anniversary break in London. Check in was swift and friendly and we had room 303. Room was small and traditional in style but clean and bed was comfy. Not like the club doubles that you see online on their website however or on booking.com. Breakfast was ok, very mediocre but you plenty of choice. Hotel is in a good location with Aldgate Underground station very close however they had closed this line for the weekend making getting around a bit more difficult but that's London for you. Not a bad hotel in the main but probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I have stayed many times at this hotel for business in the City and it is always perfect and this time I got a free upgrade to a very spacious "Executive" room. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean "Old English" style rooms. Good buffet breakfast choice. Nice pub on the ground floor.
Well located for business in the City and only 5 minutes walk from the DLR station "Tower Gateway" that links up to London City Airport.

Very clean and well appointed hotel near the Tower of London. The rooms are spacious and very English in decor. First class bath room and free Wi-fi. Excellent for business and pleasure. I recommend to book transport to the airport via the hotel, it saves you about $20.

Agree with all reviews, some of them being very descriptive and worth reading if you like to know more.

I highly recommend this hotel if your rate is not above 190 pounds.

The location is perfect for tower bridge and that area of town. Very close to a few tube lines. 20 minutes walk from Liverpool street station if your coming in from stansted airport, like we were.

Staff were very polite and friendly. The manger, I think, was very willing to try and please us and make sure we were always looked after and happy

This hotel was the venue for a family weekend get together - 9 adults and 8 kids. The staff were very accommodating and arranged for all our rooms on the same floor. The rooms were typically English, clean and comfortable, with enough space. Some of the twin rooms were actually massive - bigger than our luxury double. Breakfast was good - particularly the traditional full English, and the staff were attentive. We also had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night. This was great value at £16.50 per head for 3 courses. As a big group, we had to pre order, but this worked really well, with smooth service and good quality grub. The hotel bar is also a Fullers pub so the atmosphere here was good. One complaint would be that the bar manager's attitude was a bit curt, but other than him, the other staff were very friendly. As residents we were able to stay in the bar til very late - around 1.30 am - which was a bonus.

The location is perfect - just a 5 minute walk from the Tower of London, and 1 minute from the underground station. You're also only a 15 minute walk from Spitalfields. There hotel does not have its own car park but there is a NCP one a couple of minutes away, which was fairly inexpensive for the weekend,

Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. It was really good value for money for a hotel right in the heart of London.
