We stayed here on our way back from Heathrow and the hotel were very good booking us in early at no charge so that we could recover from our long flight. The room was spacious and clean and the beds (and pillows) very comfortable. Friendly and corteous staff also very helpful. Noticed a comment about free wi-fi...we did not have our computer with us but they have 2 computers downstairs for guests where the first 15 minutes is free and very reasonable charge for anything after that, much cheaper than an internet cafe and when we had a query it was immediately sorted out for us. Excellent location for Camden Lock market. Would definitely go back there.

And that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? Simple, easy and comfy. And believe it or not, it doesn’t make our role more difficult, rather the opposite ... so all the Camdeners would like to thank you for a nice, constructive and very sweet feedback.

Oh we love those! Can’t wait to have you around again ...

Eddy & the Camdeners, in your London pad!

We spent 4 nights there .This hotel is not a surprise respected the basic standards of all the holiday inns. The room was quite large, very clean, the furniture up to date and the matress comfortable. As often in hotel room the noise of the heat was too loud .
The good points are the location very near St Pancreas by tube only 2 stations ,near Regents Park minutes walking, some useful restaurants as Wagamama ,coffeshop ,the food we ordered in our room was ok.
The bad points were:no hot water for shower every morning when we got up(8.30)and a breakfast not very good.If you can get a good price, booking in advance, this hotel can be a good option but if the price is too high(we've seen very high prices when you come directly to the hotel )better choose another hotel more cosy.

Thank you for your review, Cathy.

It is a real shame you didn't feel good enough value for money. So, definitely something we need to work harder on.

Regarding the maintenance issues you encountered and I have been fully aware on, we've done our homework. Because of plant-room breakdowns, water needed to be run for longer than usual which, I admit, could be frustrating. As for breakfast, I'll contact you directly through Trip's internal messaging service to understand what happened better. This is something we're particularly focusing on at the moment, therefore your insight would be crucial for us. Thank you in advance.

To conclude, I'd encourage you to keep in touch for the best bespoke package; we're particularly good at 'specials' (anniversaries, birthdays etc.). Now, we should see a fantastic transformation of our lobby, breakfast room and meeting rooms soon ... something you might like to check up on on your next trip?

We'd love that. Thank you for your time and all our deepest apologies for not WOWing you on this occasion.

Next time will be a good time.

The Holiday Inn is on a quiet street just off the bustling and noisy main street in Camden Town. The rooms are surprisingly large and very comfortable and clean. Good location if you want to spend a day or two in the bustle of Camden Lock. Access is very easy from Camden Town tube station, which is a 4 minutes walk from the hotel if you don't make any stops on the way or 4 hours if you can't resist the numerous stalls around.

The hotel staff are very friendly and overall ambience in the hotel is sunny, fresh and warm. It would have been nice to have free wi-fi in the rooms as they are so comfortable but the great music in the lobby which has free wi-fi, makes up for this. I stayed 3 nights around mid December and stayed late at night in the lobby. It was great to listen to the beautiful selection of music and not a continued round of christmas carols or background music.

Would definitely recommend for friends interested in staying in the area.

We loved your sweet feedback and it does translate so well what we're trying to achieve .... you deserve a Turner-prize!! Such a feel-good, you've just made our day.

Regarding WiFi, we did happily notice that since we've moved to Free WiFi in the Lobby, we started to have people hanging around more. It sets a nice atmosphere and it allows us to mingle too ... yes, we like to keep real and be in touch with you! A little selfish? Maybe, but look at your feedback. Ha!

When is it you're back again? Oh because we now hooked ... Thank you!

All Camdeners are looking forward to treating you soon.

This hotel is all about the location, and it's great value for the money. But be sure to bring ear plugs, it gets really noisy at night. Lots of bars in the area (that could be both good and bad, right?)

Our hotel room was very clean and spacious. We had nice a view over the street and a little glimpse of the lock. There isn't really anything to complain about, other than that it's a typical hotel that doesn't stand out in any way. Lack of atmosphere, you might say.

Now to the bad part that really disappointed us, being foreigners who wants to use wifi on our smartphones to report home about our trip. The free wifi in the lobby worked very poorly. And if you want to use the internet in the hotel room you have to pay - a lot. This is certainly not ok for a 4 star hotel in 2012. I have heard that free wifi in hotels isn't that common in the UK, but still, it feels very medieval.

Also, the quality of the breakfast was very inconsistent. Some days it was absolutely lovely, other days the scrambled eggs seemed to be from the day before and the staff forgot to serve us tea and coffee.

Room Tip: Choose view of the lock.

Please please please, don't say we don't stand out when we so much like to be different. We definitely have missed the boat on your visit then?

Your Camdeners are usually happy to share their love of our area, and our city. So the atmosphere remains that of Camden Town, although we may not be able to run as wild sometimes. So that's one for us to look into.

As for WiFi, I'd love to know whether you called on us for support. We also have a number to call when connections don't run smoothly and they are pretty responsive. The internet service in the lobby is actually the top band, with no restrictions; so there should be no glitches. Now for the in-room WiFi, we realise that the debate is on however our rates remain under what most of our colleagues charge; together with our Free access in the lobby, we thus felt we had a fair offer. Don't you feel so?

To conclude, we are sorry to have let you down on one of Holiday Inn's staple: our buffet breakfast. It has already been looked into and we monitor quality more closely.

So, shall we say that have a date? We have to make up for it now, and we'd love to have another chance.

Thank you very much!

Eddy and your outstanding Camdeners
