Hard to believe perhaps, but this is a budget hotel in a really fantastic location. I really have some difficulty writing this review, because I can't find anything to criticise and I really don't want the place to become too popular, but I feel I owe it to my good fortune in stumbling upon the place and to the staff.
Everyone on reception was friendly and helpful. The hotel is right by the river and very close to Borough Market.
Didn't bother with Breakfast at the Anchor next door - grubby tourist trap. Walked for half a dozen minutes to Terry's Cafe. Lovely.
Well done to everyone who works there.

Stayed: January 2013, traveled as a couple

This is a brilliant place to stay in London. The location is amazing and the buzz of Borough Market on a Saturday is not to be missed. The hotel was clean, friendly and the noise from outside was not too bad considering how central the location is. The breakfast is fantastic and we loved the decor of the Pub/restaurant. The kids said it reminded them of Diagon Alley in a Harry Potter film!! The chef came round and did magic tricks for the kids. Brilliant!!

We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room and one that overlooks the carpark

The Premier Inn at Southwark is well situated for River Walk, Borough Market and the Tate Modern. The accommodation is comfortable and the bed very large and very comfortable.
Breakfast was good quality and good value.

We staying here for 3 nights during february half term with our young daughter and it was the best priced family london accommodation we have ever stayed in. Room was good size and the bed was huge. Usual clean premier inn standard and we had breakfast each day which was of a good standard although we would advise to go before 9am as it was really busy being half term. The hotels position was absolutely ideal - so quiet and right next to the fabulous south bank riverside walk with a wide range of restaurants & pubs close by. London Eye, Tate, Globe Theatre and Tower Bridge, Tower of London all within easy walking distance. Would definately stay here again.

Stayed for two nights 23 & 24 February. Very large & comfortable bed gave us both excellent sleeps both nights. Buffet breakfast is excellent value for central London. We didn't eat in the Pub restaurant for dinner as London has so many other places to go.
Book in advance, get a good rate and prepare for a brilliant weekend in the City!

Loved the location for a relaxed late night walk on the South Bank and walkable to all the touristy bits of London. Find the Golden Hind lurking round the back streets, Look up at the Shard, shrouded in mist or walk over the Millennium Bridge to see St. Paul's basking in the February sun. Brilliant.

What you would expect from a Premier Inn and we thought that breakfast was good value but there are nicer places (more expensive) around the market. A really good location with plenty of places to eat - ideal base for all the tourist spots. All in all would definitely stay again but the aircon did only blow out cold air.
