Acton Town Hotel
Ranked #441 of 572 London B&B and Inns
Reviewed December 6, 2011

My wife and I spent a Saturday night here on a trip to London. The welcome when we arrived was very friendly and helpful, especially as an ambulance was blocking the entrance to the car
park!

The hotel is about 5 minutes from the M4 and a 2 minute walk from the tube station so is in an excellent position. Our room was small but comforatable with en-suite facilitites, tea and coffee making facilities and TV but no phone. In the morning the breakfast room was packed so I can't comment on the continental breakfast but it looked very adequate.

Cleanliness was good although TV's Hotel Inspector might find a few areas for improvement.
MALE GUESTS BEWARE - we were in room 20 and the lid of the toilet seat refused to stay up!

If you want 5* facilities this isn't the place for you but if you just want somewhere comfortable to stay in a very handy location and very reasonably priced (£65 for the 2 of us) then I would strongly suggest you consider this hotel. We would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Be realistic. Don't expect 5* facilities in a budget hotel.

We spent six nights at the Acton Town Hotel and found it to be pleasant. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the tube station is nearby. Yes, it's old and a bit run down, but as a place to sleep while exploring London it's fine. Will definitely go back.

We were in room with so called bathroom; but really the sink was in the room, toilets with shower in another small room with kind a doors that you can't close propely.. Only 1 towel per person each 2nd day..
Breakfast was ok, tube is few meters away, lady at the reception was friendly.
Dont expect much for that money, you mostly pay for location near tube.

Yes this hotel is close to the tube and offers free parking but I was shocked at the state of the room! Broken lamp, mouldy ceiling, dust and cobwebs, ripped bedding combined with very noisy slamming doors and loud guests! Would I recommend NO :(
