“Nice pub, with good food”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

Probably consider this place my 'local'. Beer choice is excellent and varied - particularly liked the Stroud Organic Ale. Food is more than decent, eaten here more than once. Burgers are huge, tasty and well presented. Have enjoyed the Chicken and Mushroom Pie previously too. Well worth a visit.

“Good dining experience”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

I dined here with family for a late birthday celebration after a visit to Tate Britain. It was a good choice. In common with many Nicholson pubs it has a pleasant upstairs dining room (with its own bar). A particularly friendly waitress took our food and drinks order. The beer was excellent and the food plentiful, of good quality and reasonably priced. I would go again if in this part of London.

“Lovely food”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We had fish and chips in the restaurant upstairs which was absolutely delicious and filling (I couldn't eat all of mine). I would go again and the service was excellent. Friendly staff. Lovely ambience.

“English pub atmosphere and reasonable food”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

We had a late lunch here recently whilst waiting for our transfer to Heathrow. This is a cosy English pub with a wood panelled main bar area. Service was good. Fairly standary pub food, reasonably well executed and a good place to shelter from the English weather.

“A Quiet relaxing Pint”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Visited this bar as it was very close to hotel to have a few drinks as i arrived late in the evening. Staff were very friendly and the Pint of Guinness was very good and reasonable at £4.40 for the area in which it is located.

Surround Music was at right level to be able to enjoy the drink and read my Kindle.
