We visited for third time this year and came home with some fantastic stuff! Dresses, boots, knitwear, handbags, scarves, hats, jewelry, vintage key holder, books, carvings, and more...and spent about 25 quid! We travel from the Midlands to come here..just wished we lived nearer,we would be here every week! Well worth a visit!

Went there today (sunday 8th July) just after noon to find about a dozen outside and possibly twenty to twenty five inside stalls. Most were selling female and child clothing. No books bric a brac pottery or anything else. Very disappointing, feel like I've been misled by the reviews of this place. Easily the most dismal car boot I've seen in ages. No signs in the street to the market, and several locals we asked were unaware of it.

Management response:Responded July 16, 2012

We are sorry that you did not enjoy yourself, however we would like to clarify a few pints if we may. Unfortunately we had torrential rain on Sunday 8th July, which obviously affected the number of outdoor sellers-although some hardy sellers do stick with it in the rain. All other carboot sales would've been called off in such weather- but luckily for us we have an indoor section- where we had 45 sellers indoors that week. I would like to point out that the things on sale vary each week-as the sellers change each week- but there is always plenty of variety! We are a private business and it is not permitted for us to litter the street with signs, however we are a 2 minute walk from the tube and a map is clearly available on our website www.capitalcarboot.com

looks like many people go here to sell their clothing and many young trendy people come to get deals on nice stuff.

I sold pretty well at this location

I have participated to this car boot sale in Pimlico to give my children an opportunity to de-clutter their rooms and earn a bit of money as a result.
It is a weekly event (Sundays), and it lasts from 11am-3.30pm. More famous car boot sales in the London area, such as the one in Chiswick, open at 5am, which is not convenient with kids ! The Chiswick one also only happens once a month.

The Pimlico market is not an upmarket event. Most items are cheap and sell for under £10. I quickly pulled away any antique items I had, this is not the right place for them.
What we sold the most were second hand kids clothes, small toys (not stuffed animals), stickers, small picture frames, beach novels and Le-Carré type of books, second hand luggage and bags, and one computer screen !

It costs £15 to book a car slot, and an extra £5 to rent a table if you need one. All bookings can be conveniently done on-line on http://capitalcarboot.com/

an opportunity to clear ones clutter - one mans junk is another mans treasure, something for everyone, a window in which to express oneself with yr own individual display, arty farty creations, put together an outfit (or 2!) all at one stall or pick n choose at the variety of stalls -and put yr finds on carbootcatwalk blog! vintage pickings, shabbed up chic, dusty gilt mirrors, butter mountains of scarves +leather vintage handbags. things from a glamourous era. modern-day stuff too, brand new, maybe worn once, one-off designer pieces,pre-loved, amazing prices. family friendly, toys and pocket money treats, mini-me designer kids clothes, trainers, vans, hoodies. perfumes new, ex testers, maybe sprayed once -even those one finds in the harrods perfumery!
CANT AFFORD THE CHARITY SHOPS ANYMORE? come down to capital carboot pimlico +and see how far a tenner goes
- you will be pleasantly surprised! and
as a seller -see the pounds mount up
+get a first hand look-in at the bargains as they are being unpacked!
