Where this small hotel is located the space is sparce. Rooms are incredibly small, yet Arriva will provide that bit of extra space. Breakfast in nearby hotels is spartan. Arriva provides a very generous and filling continental breakfast. Wi Fi is available at a price of £5 per night and day and night staff were quite pleasant. It is also less than 5minutes walk from Kings Cross station

Room Tip: Second floor is probably the best floor.

We decided to stay in this hotel for 2 nights as the picture looked good and in terms of distance it was a perfect location.

When we arrived the felt room instantly felt claustrophobic and dull, the bathroom was made for Warick Davis with a dribble for a shower and no door just sliding wood which did not give you any kind of privacy whatsoever!

The walls are paper thin and it has an air of depression about this place - avoid at all costs!! We could hear 3 rooms down having sex and the breakfast was a joke...... toast and coffee in the basement! TOTAL RIP OFF.

You could hear the person above you walking around the old creaking floorboards and people walking past every 5 minutes too.

Complained to staff who were disinterested and unhelpful.

Would not put a dog in this hotel and would advise you all to steer clear.

Overpriced, suffocatingly small room, in a literal sense since it was impossible to turn off the heating completely, which did leave it suffocating, Did not use breakfast room because long queues at 9.10 and it stopped at 9.30. WiFi £5 a day too expensive just as well I took my dongle. Corridor constantly almost blocked by laundry (which apart from the aesthetic problem can hardly be even legal were an emergency such as a fire to emerge). We have to visit the same part of London several times within the next year or so but have decided we will not stay at Arriva again. There are much better options in the area .We would have stayed only 1 night but could not as we had to pay upfront for 2 nights. If you go ask for a back room as the front is noisy with traffic all night. We asked to leave luggage on the last day and was told it was left in an unlocked room and at our own risk!! Never again and we would not recommend it to anyone be warned enter at your own peril!!

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back and take a dongle for your laptop if you must go..

Second to last place we stayed at during our Europe trip in May '08. Picked this place for the price and location. It is located a short walk from St. Pancras station, which is where we wound up after taking the Eurostar over from Paris. It was pretty easy to find once we got our bearings straight.

Except for the sign at the front of the hotel, you would hardly know where it is as the building looks similar to the one to either side of it. The lobby is very small as it's basically the check-in desk and a couple of chairs. We got there and waited a little bit as there was a couple of people in front of us. The person checking us in spoke English with a thick accent, but was able to communicate well with them. Got our key and headed up to our room. The room was very small with 2 twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. The room also had a small TV hanging from the wall, but it was way up high. There was just enough room to walk around the beds...more like a scoot than a walk. At least there was a small desk and open closet to hang some clothes. The room was a little noisy from all the doors slamming in the hallway.

For the price and the fact that we only needed this place for one night's sleep, it was worth it, but next time will do a little more research and try another place to see what is available for maybe a little more money.

I booked that day before online and got a 50% discount on the walk in price! For 50 quid it felt like a good deal. The place is nothing special, but totally fine and does the job for short term stays near kings cross.
