“Amazing Little Place off the Beaten Track”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

Dined here for an evening meal on a Saturday night in March 2013. From the outside the place looks like any other small enterprise and the exterior of the premises does not do it justice, however, inside its lovely.

Restaurant was quite quiet when I first arrived, however, as the evening went on it got very busy, so if you are going on a Friday or Saturday I would advise you to book ahead.

Good choice of food on the menu and wide choice of drinks available too. Food was served fairly quickly; however, you could tell it was cooked from fresh, so did not mind waiting. Good atmosphere and very polite and friendly staff.

Quality of the food was outstanding, very hot (temperature) and well presented, in fact it was probably the nicest Indian restaurant I’ve been to in London and I’ve been to a few, including those down Brick Lane.

Had a very enjoyable evening, food was fantastic and I would most certainly come here again. In terms of price, it is a little pricier than your usual run of the mill Indian but well worth the extra money.

“Great food and good portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

I was the only person in the restaurant on a very cold & dismal evening but the restaurant still had a good atmosphere and the waiter was very friendly.

I started off with a fish tikka starter - grilled Bengal Tiger fish - which tasted superb and was a very good sized portion. I followed this with a lamb mussallam rice and a nan bread. There were plenty of chunks of lamb in the dish and these were very tender. The dish tasted quite different and was really delicious.

The house wine was £2.95 a glass or £9.95 bottle and the whole meal with 2 glasses of wine was £25 which was great value for such a good meal.

“A birthday worth remembering”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

I booked the restaurant for 11 family members for my birthday. Firstly the service was extremely slow, it took over an hour just to get the starters out from the point of ordering and when they did finally come out the portion sizes were very minimal. Whilst the starters came out we took the initiative to order the mains to reduce the waiting time, this did help as the mains came out in 45 mins. I would definitely recommend to any customer to try the chefs signature dishes as they are what made up for the very slow and delayed service that we received.

Over all the experience was average if you have the patience to wait it is worth it, however if you are looking for a faster turn around this is not for you, but as mentioned the chefs signature dishes which has won the awards are worth trying no doubt

“delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

This place is brilliant - the food is delicious. I've eaten here a few times now and tried a few dishes, I would particularly recommend the Chicken Hariali, The spicy madras sauce contrasted with the refreshing lemongrass chicken is a combination to die for. I went into restaurant with few expectations but was surprised at the quality of the food and the inventiveness of the menu. With excellent service to match, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for curry-lovers.
