Description: Oozing ultra-sleek Scandinavian chic, Sticks'n'Sushi is one of Wimbledon's most fashionable and popular eateries. With the original Sticks'n'Sushi site in Copenhagen, this cutting-edge concept combines the best in Japanese and Nordic dining, with a typically slick dining room featuring suspended art pieces, clean angles and a stony grey colour palette. As its name suggests, the Sticks'n'Sushi menu features a mix of freshly-crafted sushi and sizzling yakitori sticks - loaded with chicken, red meat and vegetables - served straight from the grill.

“Good Sushi - lively atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

We arrived without a booking and they managed to squeeze us in on the lounge sofas which made for a very relaxed and comfortable meal. Service was enthusiastic and elusive at the same time which I put down to a busy evening. We chose from their set menu which has 3 tiers and suggests from 2 people upward which was helpful. The mixture of Sushi,Rolls and Sticks was well prepared and beautifully presented. Inevitably you are going to enjoy some bits more than others but overall i would say it was excellent.

There was a good buzz with a number of larger parties, probably Tennis related, Loud music and low lighting added made it lively although no live DJ like the last Sushi restaurant I had visited. I would say best for a group of friends looking for a fun evening

“Best Japanese restaurant outside of Japan.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was opened closed to my home in London around year ago. I was sceptic about it, usually Japanese food in UK is not good. BUT not in this place! It's really good. It's the best Japanese food outside of Japan. Of course it's adopted to western people. But it's really good with wide range of choices. Excellent services and place is really nice. We really like to visit this place or get takeaway from it. If you are in London and want to get sushi you must to visit Wimbledon and this restaurant!

“Fabulous sushi and we can't wait to go back”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

We had a wonderful meal - 3 starters - the cold beef sliced was so delicious, plus the ebi bites (Squid) and soft shell crab rolls ll about £6-8 each Then we had a big platter which was £56 between us - loads of wonderful sushi & rolls and some hot sticks - the hot sticks were the least successful & we wouldn't have them again. We would give them a 4 and everything else a 6-10 so its 5/5 overall. Not cheap but so delicious

Also they have replaced the benches with proper chairs which is nicer. There is a big table in the middle and i thought we had to sit opposite each other but you sit side by side. We had a table for 2 in the window

“Best sushi (and everything else) ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

Amazing food, amazing amazing food.
The sushi and sashimi is both innovative and traditional, the sashimi is cut to perfection and the flavours are ever so fresh.
I go every week.

Do not miss this lovely decorated place with a chilled aura that will make non fish lovers also very very happy!
Best things on the menu:
- Tenderstem broccoli with sesame sauce
- Chicken bites (wow!)
- Ebi bites

The deserts are often sadly overlooked and they come in tiny little portions that are guilt free.
All super tasty, super healthy and reasonably priced.

Well done Sweden!

“Great food, plenty of atmosphere, excellent service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

We went to Sticks n Sushi on recommendation and were not disappointed. From the minute we walked through the door the staff were incredibly friendly and our waitress (who's name I've annoyingly forgotten) was excellent. She talked us through the menu, made recommendations without being pushy and ensured every detail was taken care of effortlessly. The food itself was really good, a wide selection which could have been overwhelming but the set menus ensured we could order our favourites and try a few new things without spending hours choosing. As usual we over ordered but our remaining sushi was boxed up to go, complete with new accompaniments and chopsticks which made a perfect lunch the next day. Drinks were reasonably priced with a varied wine, beer and cocktail list. All in all a perfect evening, we will definitely be returning.
