“Excellent budget hotel”

I thought this small hotel was really good for such a small price. Rooms were recently renovated, very clean with nice bathrooms. Absolutely superb location too!

The only downturn was the quality of bedding, but I wouldn't expect luxury pillows for such low prices. Overall, very good!

I do recommend this hotel for a short stay in London because it is close to the Victoria station so the connection with airports is easy and it is in a walking distance to the Westminster. Staff was helpful, room was clean and not so tiny as hotels rooms in London usually are. Do not expect too much from breakfast, it was edible, but very very simple (only toast, butter and marmelade and some cornflakes). If you need only clean place for short stay and good value for money, this hotel is perfect for you. For longer stay (more than 4 days) I would probably look for something else.

Been on short trip to London. Stayed at Lidos in view of convenience to Victoria. We were provided with a room on the third floor. The lift wasn't working and we had no information about it. We had to drag along a heavy bag along a high flight of narrow stairs. Wifi never worked.
The only positive had to be the breakfast.

the rooms are very clean, the shower is fantastic, the breakfast is huge, the price is affordable, and the hotel is well positioned, near Vicotira Station and the bus number 24 stops outside the hotel, and it is very confortable; every day they clean the room; there's a very friendly domestic staff.
Only, the rooms aren't very large, but i think it's negligible if you don't stay all the day in the room. But London is fantastic, and you will not stay so much in your room, guaranteed ;) !!

Worst "hotel" ....EVER
Even for £65 per night in London
I would prefer to sleep under the arches with tramps and down and outs than visit this place again..
Pointless to list all the reasons as if my comments so far are not helpful then take your chances :-)
The building work was not an issue either , It probably masked the state of the place with its ingrained neglect.
It was quite refreshing to once go back in time to a place were health and safety was flouted with such regard as a 1950,s Turkish jail ..
Breakfast included is funny and I was at least amused at the stretch of the term
 " continental ".....!!!!
Toast and jam with cereal in a bunker which hardened truck drivers might think a tad tacky.
And the addition of yogurt pots happily fermenting on a table in a hot room made me consider the only thing missing would be a poorly tummy to make this visit complete :-)
On a positive note it did have all the windows in and a newly opened toilet roll.

Having stayed at several hotels on this street, this one has a good size washroom (not one of those all in one toilet/shower/sink rooms). The double room on the ground floor is a good size, has a flat screen tv with more channels than other hotels on the street (for those of you who are late night tv watchers) and free wifi. The service was very good, friendly and helpful. It's just a few minutes walk to Victoria train station, metro and coach station. As a frequent traveller to London, I would return to this hotel.

We stayed in October, 2011 in the smallest room we have ever seen in a hotel. The sink was cracked and there was no hot water. The Breakfast Room was not large enough for everyone to be seated and it was impossible to reach the food - not a good start to the day!
Only good point was its convenience with a bus stop right outside the door. Apart from this redeeming point, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
