I was reccomended this pub and decided to hunt it down. It's in a nice quiet spot but there are quite a few issues. The staff are rather impolite and one barman told a customer (standing next to me) who had ordered a mulled cider that he HAD NOT (in no uncertain terms), when he presenting him with a mulled wine. I've never come across such rudeness and contept , in such a trivial situation , not even offering to change the drink. I would had left then but was hungry and didn't fancy looking around for somwhere else. We had a meal which was ok ,but not great,. The menu is basic but I did thing that over £16.00 for steak pie and a spoonfull of mash ...no veg....( well except a liitle carrot in the pie so less beef could be used) was expensive. The other 3 meals were all a similar price and veryalso basic . The bar wasnt busy being half empty but our party had to go to the bar to get a drink when there was supposed to be service.
