Otto's is an intimate restaurant run by the ever-charming Otto, who is a London institution himself. He was maitre d' at The Don, a well-established, well-regarded spot in the City before bringing his style to bear on his own venture, and for good reason. The food, French in style, is to a very high standard, while the atmosphere is warm and unstuffy. You are made to feel like a guest and a confidante. The special lunch menu during the week is an absolute bargain. I have had business lunches and big occasions with friends here and recommend it for both. It is located in one of London's most characterful areas, Clerkenwell, which has a strong Italian influence, so good too for wandering before dinner on Saturday evening.
