Room reeked of smoke and ash found in teacup.

Greasy handprints on headboard

Stained pillow case

Kept awake from 4.30-5.30am as room abutted reception and receptionists 'visitors' were rowdy and loud - no apology when complaining and reluctant room change.

Private car park ... For only 4 cars. And you would NOT want to park on- street. Unsavoury neighbourhood!

Double bed was more like 3/4.

On the plus side the receptionist did call us a taxi and supply us with local knowledge. The free breakfast was good

When viewing this on late rooms it looks really pleasant, it states regency, excel, London, it uses all the nice sounding words albeit, it neglects to show it located amongst a residential area, attached to a pizza and kebab shop.....omg what a shocker.. Clean in side but location is everything and the staff at breakfast grunted and did not make good morning pleasantries, the dining room if you could call it that was in the reception lobby..really a let down and should have been called a bed and breakfast and charged 25 pound per night. I would not recommend this to anyone...I hope no one. Else gets caught out with their misleading advert, photos on late rooms

Oh I forgot to say there was pubic hair in our bed on arrival..OMG

Room Tip: Don't book in here and choose a reputable brand, such as premier for the price.

A bit difficult to put a finger on the problem here. It is clean and the rooms are quite adequate. Our room had a window unlike some of the others and we weren't unduly worried by road noise but the windows were closed. We had a lot of noise from the room above one night but that was down to inconsiderate guests.

Pros:
Clean and very reasonably priced.
Adequate breakfast included (although a side plate would be nice for the toast as I don't like bean juice with my jam!).
Reception staff very helpful and pleasant.
Tea & coffee provided. Limited amounts but I imagine if you really wanted more you could ask for it.
Fresh fruit available.
Good for visiting Excel & O2.

Cons:
Fire doors propped open by fire extinguishers was a complete 'no-no'. We moved them 3 times! Management please take note.
Hated the shower - flooded the bathroom every time. It was difficult to wash your hair under too.
Breakfast serving staff very disinterested.
The area is a bit 'iffy'. I wouldn't have wanted to walk around in the dark on my own. Clearly this is nothing the hotel can do anything about.

Room Tip: Our 1st floor room at the front had a window which others obviously did not. As long as it is the ri...

I was not impressed by the location of this hotel, though convenient for Canary Wharf etc it is a bleak part of town. The reception space and staff were more inviting, with integrated breakfast area of about 10 green plastic tables was a bit off putting! For a £150 the room was small with a spacious balcony looking over the back of a housing estate which was rather depressing, however we arrived late and left by 9.30am so no time to languish! The shower room was smelly, all fittings very basic and the overhead shower rose which showed promise delivered tepid water and mean little bath towels supplied. The rooms were not as described, sound proof..banging and voices could be heard through the walls and in the corridors. The most laughable thing was the fridge, you had to climb over it to get in to bed! Wouldn't have minded if it had something to offer but it was empty! Wanted to use the hotel internet in the morning but it was not working and no room for us at breakfast. All in all, not good value for money, very basic decor and fittings and overall experience was as rated..Poor!

Was going to an excel event so wanted somewhere close which it was so that was handy! However when we got there at 5pm (check in time was 2) they made us wait 20mins for our room to be cleaned which I didn't think was acceptable. The room was very nice lovely design and comfortable for the night. Sorry to say that in the morning for breakfast we were asked to wait 20mins then as there were not enough tables and we finally got to order and there was not a lot to offer on the menu. This a good place to stay for excel events but may need a little improvement on service.

I stayed at his apartment is it at 365 Prince regent lane, opposite the Londis and next door to a shop, the entrance was very dark and lined with smelly refuse bins. it can be seen via Google maps street view as it is next to Mama mia pound plus.
The hotel is nice, this apartment is not! The guy who walked the 5-6 doors north from hotel said he was sorry for outward appearance, it did smell, once in corridor, it was a bad run down property, gaining access to the apartment which must have been a part of the front shop, i was not pleased with the decor, but thought I would give it a go, the huge tv screen was damaged, where a sofa would sit, was a very hard double bed, the kitchen cupboards door were very loose were and also the boiler was tatty and worried me, the bedroom was ok, and also the bathroom, ok worn well, but it had a strange smell and after 30-45 I had a headache, I did not see any smoke or Carbon Monoxide detectors. the headache was getting really bad and had to leave, the owner of the hotel, offered me a room in hotel, but had to get to my home as headache was bad.
They cancelled the booking with Booking.com, yet I had paid upon arrival with amex, this was done so I could not leave a bad report. My advice is dont stay at the apartment.
