“Wonderful Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

I stayed for a night in this hotel and really enjoyed it. My rooom was clean with an lcd tv. Stefan who was on reception was extremely helpful and attentive. I enjoyed the Israeli breakfast. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and this makes travelling very easy. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of this hotel.

This establishment's ONLY redeeming feature is it's location! Quite the most inhospitable hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Staff are presumably trained not to speak with guests, nor smile nor offer any form of assistance - whoever wrote the hotel publicity material must be up for the next Poet Laureate!

Breakfast content was poor and not especially appetising and staff stone-faced throughout. Like others who've written here, I was in a second floor room; true, there was a plentiful supply of clean towels, albeit nowhere to hang them, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the teatray well stocked. The bathroom was something else - more like a converted meter cupboard in the eaves of the property; poor design meant those of us who have not studied pilates would be unable to sit comfortably on the loo since access was constricted by the lkocarion of the wash hand basin - this had no plug, was full of unspeakable detritus, back-filled up the waste the moment the tap was turned on and then took 10 minutes to clear. The bathroom shelf was on the tilt as it was coming away from the wall so nowhere to locate toiletries; the grouting had fallen out of the shower surround which looked none too clean either.

A round of 3 drinks - a mineral, glass of wine and a spirit was nearly £14 and attracted a 10% service charge and took 15 minutes to be served by an ill-trained barman.

All-in-all, you wouldn't send your worst enemy to this hotel - a great pity my colleague had not studied Trip Advisor before making the booking - NEVER, EVER AGAIN!!!

Room Tip: Find another hotel and ALWAYS read Trip Advisor before booking!

Hate to sound negative, but i have never stayed in a room where there is MOULD on the walls ( room 1), also there was no internet despite the fact i was told there was internet (incidently they charge 9 pounds for 24 hour access but only tell you once you buy the voucher that it isnt working)

Will not stay here again
