“Good location”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

This hotel was suggested by a local hospital where I had day treatment that required my wife and me to spend two nights in London. On the advice of the person who took the reservation we booked a 'suite' which was really a lrge room with a sofa. It was well-eqipped with trouser press, ironing board and refrigerator (empty). Cold on arrival but soon warmed up after I found the radiator valve behind a panel. Bathroom was small but adequate. The hotel advertises a restaurant and bar, but the restaurant was closed, apart from breakfast Both the restaurant and bar were nicely furnished and decorated, and the breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The few staff we met were extremely helpful. The location is good for local shops and restaurants.

My first night I stayed in a room with a bathroom like a closet. The rest of my stay, I had a room in the basement. This room was pretty nice, staff was nice, front desk was helpful to me, management could use some help in customer relations. Nice location, close to everything you'll like to see and do.

Room Tip: Make sure you take a picture of the room you book online, before you get there so you could see if y...

Hotels in Londen are expensive.
This one is expensive, old and a bit worn out.
But it has an excellent location. Near Mme Tussauds and Baker Street.
Tube station bakers street is only 5 minutes walk.

My room was so small I almost did not fit in.
Needed to squeeze between toilet and sink. Shower was below average.
Squeaky floors.
Free Wifi available.
No mini bar

Freshly cooked breakfast with very friendly staff.

So: excellent location, average hotel. good breakfast.

Room Tip: Avoid the 203, unless you are one of the seven dwarfs.

Very convenient location, close to Baker Street station. Lots of pubs and restaurants close by. Very helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Overall good value for London. Single room was reasonable size albeit at the top of a lot of stairs.

This is the second time my wife and I stayed at this hotel. Very good location a few minutes away from Baker Street Station. Very quiet area. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a two room suite on the third floor; good and clean rooms (second room a bit small but ok). Breakfast was good but could be more varied. Hotel is a bit overpriced for its value.

We stay at the hotel 3 nights at May. The location is very good. few minutes walking from Baker st. station in quiet street not fur from a good Italien restaurant and some pubs .
The service at the reception was courteous and helpfull they helped with maps and information also the waitreses at breakfast were pleasant and efficient and remember our order after one morning for the next day. The negative part is the room. We had a Jounior suit and it was a very old fashioned room with a strange collection of furnitures a staircase in the room very heavy curtains and bad maintenance . half of the light bulbs were out of order. The hotel is overpriced for its value.

Do not enter this hotel under any circumstances ! We had to find accommodation at short notice very close to Harley street. So shocked when we arrived, the decor was grim and dated, we were told the online booking was the wrong rate and were forced to agree to another 25% increase of what we already thought was extortionate seeing the state of the place ! If I could have refused I would have but there were no other hotels I'd already searched and could not go home we had to stay as were having IVF procedures at 8am next day. The room was disgusting - thread bare carpet, smelt foul, stains on bedding, mouldy bathroom and dirt everywhere. I was so upset, we walked round regents park till dark then went straight to sleep! We got on with the day, returning after both having had anesthetic and slept . When we woke at 7pm asked for room service and was told the kitchen was closeing we explained we hadn't eaten for 24 hrs and pleaded for something basic chicken and chips . What arrived was in edible on a filthy dirty tray, I dread to think what goes on in that kitchen ! We complained and was told the chef was 'michelin star' ! Still drowsy went back to sleep. Couldn't wait to get away the next morning, we complained about everything and was told tuff, and if we didn't pay bill in full they would take from our credit card anyway !

Room Tip: You'd be better off staying at the YMCA !
