I do not write reviews but I thought that it is important to let people know about the horrors they can face and not ruin their good times. Right from the moment you enter the hotel you can get a stink of old wet carpets or wet walls which will give any normal person a sick feeling. The lift does not work, the TV does not work, there is bathroom/toilets in the room (they are outside the room, YES!!), the taps are rusted, the bath tubs are brown with dirt, the bedsheets are dirty and brown and old, the curtains are torn and hanging off the hook and the rooms lacks ventilation hence the bad smell. The carpets are wet and damp too! The bed mattress is like sleeping on iron springs or nails! Everything is dirty and needs replacement, not cleaning. When complained to the manager(some pakistani man, i dont know if he is even suitable to even work anywhere in the world??) he would get angry and would talk like animal. When we complained to the supervisor (some south East asian lady) she too was rude and extremely unhelpful. The service recieved is guaranteed worse than any place in the world. This kind of hotel will bring bad experience to the london city even if this is located near central london. If you want to be insulted then you know where to go.

Room Tip: just avoid.

Please, please DO NOT plan on staying here. First of all, the beds are like two box springs on top of each other. Secondly, the maids just walk in without any warning what so ever. Third and worst, the tv would not turn on so we looked to see if it was plugged in. No, it was not, the wires were cut. When we complained we were told that the rooms had a color tv and that was all that was promised, not that it worked. When we threatened to leave the manager offer us her tv. Apparently hers is the only one in the building that worked. They were waiting for them to be repaired but did not have a date. We said we were leaving and were told we would not get the money back we had paid in advance for the 8 days. After arguing, we were told our account would be credited the 7 days were not going to stay. We call twice and then go back three times, but we did get our money back. This place is a nightmare. The location is good, but there are many more around the area at the same price that are wonderful.

Let me start by saying I have never given a bad review and I tavel to London once a year so I'm not an inexperienced traveler. January in London is cold and we had no hot water...not even luke warm for three days the first day we were told "it's an old hotel you have to let the water run a long time". The second day they came to our room and agreed it was not warm and said it would be fixed. Third day we said we would have to leave the hotel if we did not get a different room so the moved us. The gentleman who moved us said "our compliments" which we took to mean one free night for the severe inconvenience of a cold shower for three days. Upon leaving we were asked for payment and told their compliments meant they had upgraded our room. Outside of the horrible customer service the hotel's rating of 2.5 starts is quite a stretch our bathroom was not ensuite and the heat was barely on so we also slept in our clothes with beanies just to keep warm. An all around bad experience!

This hotel is dire. It claims on its website to be 3 star, but it does not merit even one. Their card says RAC and AA 3 star. RAC no longer award stars, and AA have not rated them, so this seems to be a false claim. 3 star requires a restaurant open to non-residents (it doesn't have one); rooms that are en suite (not all are); and a manned reception (it is mostly unattended). Their website claims that it is decorated to a high standard. It is not. It is run-down and grotty.

Room Tip: Do not choose any. Those we saw are all equally bad.

Nice people - Zulfiqar and the lady who did breakfasts but the room was cold especially the Shower room which was in the hold - outside the room not very satisfactory. A window was boarded up not replaced. However, the breakfasts was fine the location was excellent apart from the fact that if you are forced to drive into the congestion zone to get to the hotel -even though it is just outside. However, fantastic car park further down Crawford St - a NCP ony £16 a night
