“Couldn't be more central”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

You couldn't get more central than this. The architects have very cleverly incorporated the hotel into an impressive Georgian building on the corner of Leicester Place. I had a room on the top floor (8th), where I heard no noise whatsoever, from inside or outside the building. The restaurant serves Italian food, and there is a free salad bar, which I thought was a definite plus. Service was excellent in the restaurant, both at dinner and breakfast - special mention to Hassan and Oliver. The location , of course, is unbeatable: you're right in the middle of theatreland, and the National Gallery and Portrait Gallery are close at hand; Leicester Square tube just across the road. Another impressive London PI.

Room Tip: The eighth floor was very peaceful.

the premier inn was so central, we walked everywhere from this location, so saved on taxi's and the tube.
The staff were excellent really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb, and we did wish we ahve eaten there in the evening as well

Room Tip: the twin room was a double bed and a pullout

This is a fairly new Premier Inn (opened May 2012 I believe?), and is ideally placed in the centre of London’s West End. Typical converted Central London building (lots of coridoors etc.) with the usual good quality Premier Inn rooms and facilities. Not as noisy as I’d have imagined (but maybe that depends on room location), and everything worked as it should.

Rooms are well sized for a London budget hotel, and everything is clean.

Staff are helpful, and the electronic booking-in process helps if the reception is busy.

Nothing really different from the normal high consistent quality of Premier Inns, but I have to say that the breakfast was better than most. It looks as if they cook in smaller batches and it all seemed a bit fresher. It’s an improvement on the Premier Inns that are tied to an adjacent pub as you’re dependant on the quality of the pub. T

here’s no evening meal service but who would want to eat in a hotel when Chinatown and Soho are both a few minutes walk away?

Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed here twice and would do so again. Great location firstly, on a side street in Leicester Square on the edge of Chinatown, coupled with comfortable rooms at a great price. My last 6 night stay was only 651 Pounds. The rooms are charged immediately to your card upon check-in.
Check-in is after 2 pm London time and is done on the 2nd floor which is the only floor you can access via the elevator without a room key. You check in either at the desk with the helpful staff (Thanks Sue) of at the ATM-like machines on the side. The desk is manned 24 hours so any issues can be solved immediately. There is luggage storage if you arrive early.
In order to access the floors above, whether from the lobby or from the main entrance, you must swipe your room key card in the elevator before the buttons for the floors light up. Once on your floor you have to use your card in the door to gain access to the corridors where the rooms are.
Once you enter your room, you must place your room key card in a slot right next to the door to activate the electrical power...it times out after you pull the card out.
The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. The bed is a bit firm but still provides a great night's sleep. There are extra pillows in the room as well as temperature controls.
The bathrooms are spacious with either a tub and shower or just a shower. They have dispensers for hand soap as well as bath gel (English Leather) in the showers. No wash cloths but I bring my own bath puff which lathers up well. Very good and large towels to dry with. Great shower pressure and hot water.
The room has a unit with the flat screen TV, a vanity mirror which is lighted, two drawers for clothes, a closet rack with hangers and a coffee/tea pot with two cups an two glasses.
There is a desk with chair and telephone and some rooms have a sofa which can become a twin bed.
The WiFi is very good and easy to connect to. They offer free 30 mins per day, enough to check emails as well as packages for the full day. I brought one weeks 24 hour access for 10 pounds. Keep in mind that you can only connect 3 devices (computer/smartphone/tablet) with your account.
Back down on the 2nd floor is the restaurant where you can have a very good full English breakfast or have cereal and pastries. There is a Costa coffee machine on the side as well as a 24 hour bar selection of wines and beers as well as soft drinks. You can also get made to order pizzas and sandwiches during the day, there are menus in the rooms.
This hotel is a great base to explore the city located between two tube stops (Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus) with the theatres and bars and clubs of Soho steps away.

Room Tip: Book early for a great rate...you can cancel the day of arrival.

I've never had a bad experience with PremierInn. The location is fantastic and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Room is as expected (basic but clean) but bathroom was unbelievably small. I had the option of the nearby Radisson for £30 more, which I declined as I was literally only going to be sleeping there - no lingering in the room. I suspect it would have represented better valu if you wanted to spend any time in your room.

Best possible location sandwiched between Leicester SQuare and CHina Town. Immaculately clean and staff who couldn't do enough for you. Despite being in heart of capital the rooms were incredibly quiet (apart from fire alarm having been activated by some idiot, which certainly was not the staff's fault....they dealt with it as well as they possibly could have)
Will definitely stay here on any future trips to LOndon. Fantastic value for money.

Room Tip: We were on 6th floor....great

We stopped here on the 25th Jan 2013 for 2 nights. It was our usual trip to London to hit the end of the sales and spend a bit of time without the kids.
Premier Inns never seem to disappoint for the city break style getaway. Their rooms are small and the views are not always what you'd call breathtaking but you're not booking a Premier Inn to spend anytime in it. They're to drop your bags, get refreshed in and then hit the streets
This one is in a brilliant and I mean brilliant location! 100 yards from the tube station and about 50 different pubs, restaurants, and shops all within sight of the hotel doors you cannot go wrong here.
Its bang next to Chinatown which is well worth a look round in the evening, and any number of things to do and places to go as you're in the middle of the greatest city on earth!
If you're up for a nice meal we went to Sartori's just round the corner on Great Newport Street, and if you want to impress the one you're with then Google Covent Garden Cocktail Club and get a membership before you wander over the road to enjoy a few post meal refreshments.
A great hotel, well placed and with no noise from the outside of the window (triple glazed) you'll be sure of a good nights sleep.............provided no-one triggers the fire alarm ;-)
