Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Canal and River Cruises Ltd operate a 12 seater narrowboat on London's canals, based in the lovely laid-back area of Maida Vale know as Little Venice. We offer one hour sightseeing tours through to whole day tours for private parties of all sizes between 2 and 12 guests. A canal cruise is ideal for family celebrations, hen parties or just a day out with your friends. Our most popular cruise is 2 hours, slowly following the Regents Canal through Maida Vale and Regents Park and London Zoo before turning around at Camden Lock Market. We also specialise in custom made private cruises from two hours to a whole day with an itinerary built just for you! Ask us for advice on where to go before and after your cruise to make a perfect day! We occasionally offer public boat trips too, aiming to take you to places not often reached by public boats, so do look at our website to check for the latest news, and if there's nothing available why not ask us! Arrive as a customer and leave as a friend. We are here to make your day special!

We had a tour down the Thames; it was amazing! Very interesting to hear the history behind some of the sights in London. We sat inside the boat, would have liked to have gone on the top but it was just as good inside.

“Needs a sunny day”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

We had a great sunny day for the run from Westminster Pier to Greenwich - the staff provided some information on the cruise and were quite witty - although some of the wit may have been wasted on the non english!

I'm so glad you had a good time with us on Londons lovely canals. Lady A has all weather protection including heating, and we also supply blankets for anyone sitting out on our foredeck on all cruises, so you needn't be cold! Perhaps summer will arrive soon anyway!

“Let's celebrate”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

Got given a Redletter day voucher from work as a thanks so after lokking at all the choices on the web site I choose the Bateux Thames Evening Dinner cruisewith the sights for Sat the 2nd of June which was also the Jubilee weekend.
The cruise sets off at about 20:00 ish & ship was called the Symphony(which was the boat at the end with the orchestra and singers on in front of the Queen.which has wall to wall glass panels so you can see all sights nomatter where you sat on the boat. I'm not sure but on this evening we sailed all the way to Chelsea where all the boats were ammased for the Sunday regatta so that was really nice, and while all this was going on we were served a fantastic 4 course meal, also there was a fantastic band on who were absoloutely fantastic, the staff were also very professional in their work. Would I do it again YES.

Thanks for this lovely review, but it's not of our company I'm afraid. We don't operate on the tidal Thames and in fact you have named another company in the review. However thanks for the good intentions and I'm sure you would have written just as nice if you had actually taken one of our private canal cruises!
