Apex Temple Court Hotel

My wife and I stayed at the Apex Temple Court for eight days during our vacation to London. Overall, we were quite pleased with the experience. The king bed was comfortable (not easy to find in London), and the room was clean and generally well maintained. The room has excellent drapes, so sleeping in wasn't a problem at all.

The hotel is located right near the Royal Courts, so the general feel is one of a business hotel, rather than a recreational hotel. We often felt a little out of place when leaving for the day in jeans and t-shirts while walking past suite wearing business people. Nevertheless, the staff was polite and always pleasant. The hotel is also well situation from the perspective of the bus route and subway. There is a bus stop right outside, and the subway is only a few minutes walk.

From a food perspective, we found the hotel restaurant to be a little too high priced for our taste. However, there are several excellent pubs which serve a wide variety of food and ale within a few minutes walk.

Major issues: None

Minor issues: There isn't an outlet in the bathroom which can support a hair dryer or curling iron. My wife found this especially irritating. I don't know if this is standard for the UK, but it was a daily nuisance. I will also mention that the pillows provided are quite large. If you prefer a flatter pillow, speak to the front desk and they can provide one.

We very much liked the location inside the Temple District and the quite understated entrance situation from Fleet Street. The courtyard is very relaxing. Public transport to Apex Hotel also convenient.

Room Tip: The pillows are a little too thick, smaller ones would be more comfortable. More possibilities to ha...

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean tidy and nicely presented. The bed was comfortable. Our room was facing the inner courtyard, and was lovely and quiet. Couldn't have asked for more. Great value.

It's not easy in London to find a confortable Hotel at a reasonable rate.
This Hotel is a very good option. The position is not beside the entrance of the tube, but only 5 mins away from Chancery Lane, Blackfriars or Temple and is located in a beautiful and quite area.
From the check-in (especially!) all the way to the check out (unfortunately one night only) we only met cordial and professional personnel, which indeed makes the difference in all hotels,
In combination with a well and tastefully designed structure the result is a pleasant stay, to be repeated.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor and where very hapy with that. It's a sort of attic room with a n...

The Apex Temple Court Hotel in London was quite excellent. We stayed there three nights. All employees (desk, restaurant, bar, room service) were polite, courteous and extremely helpful in offering suggestions for good restaurants, shows, tours, local sights and transportation options. All areas of the hotel were pristine and the amenities were great. The Apex was a bit pricey, but worth the money.

Room Tip: Select a room that looks out on one of the courtyards, if possible. They are quiet and provide a rel...

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff is really nice, and they charge a fair price for what they offer. Apex, please keep the good job!

What I would suggest to the hotel is to change the shampoo/condinitoner/bodywash to some that smells more unisex. We were two women at the room, and I think the aromas were very manly. There was a magazine for us at the room that was for men as well.
One other suggestion is to make toilet lights better for people to makeup/shave/etc. It looks good at a distance, but when looking closer at the mirror it makes very strong shadows on our faces.

The Apex Temple Court is beautifully located, right in the old City of London, and yet it is remarkably quiet. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the rooms are confortable. I'll be back for sure.
