“Fab weekend stay at apex”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

Selected apex on the basis of its proximity to Covent garden and the reviews I'd read. We weren't disappointed at all. We booked the cheapest room (standard) but it was very clean and modern and bright with lovely toiletries and tea and coffee tray. Bath and shower were spacious and hot, and the bed and pillows were immensely comfy! The reception staff and the breakfast staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was lovely too. Only aspect where I have rated 4 out of 5 is location, simply because its a bit further to covent garden than I expected.

Staying four nights in a spacy superior category room. The hotel feels clean and the colors and design is fresh. The staff is polite and evrything is working as it should be. The rooms have large bathtubs and a nice shower, you'll fing a large Samsung TV screen with the Sky Sports channels included. Comfortable beds and quiet and sound proof rooms. 80 meters east is a Sainsbury Local and a 100 meter west is a Tesco express. Also walking distance to Leicester Square. The only downside is the breakfast that costing £19.50 does not give value for money. The food is good, but the selection is to small.
Would definitely stay here again, but take the breakfast elsewhere

The Apex Temple Court struck me as a business-oriented hotel, but as a base for our week of holidaying in London we were still pleased with it. Our room had plenty of space, with a seating area separate from the sleeping area - each area with its own good sized LCD TV, although the layout meant that someone sitting at the desk had to move out of the way for someone else to get to the bathroom. Bathroom was good too, and included an impressive bath tub down one end (complete with rubber duck). The hotel has a very well equipped fitness centre on the basement level. It is located pretty much in between Blackfriars and Temple tube stations, on a stretch of Fleet Street that is fairly dead after hours, but not too long a walk from both the city centre and the Covent Garden districts. Our only hiccup was when we asked the concierge for the location of the nearest coin laundry and it turned out to just be a drycleaner. (We did find one ourselves in the end, but be warned that they are far more scarce in London than most other big cities).
Overall there was nothing that struck me as outstanding about the hotel, but there was also nothing we could really fault either. It's a very solid choice and good value if you're happy not to stay in the heart of the touristy areas. (and let's face it - in London you're just minutes away from pretty much anywhere once you're in the tube).

Very good located, close to next tube station "temple". Nice area for foreign tourists like us (Swiss people). If entering the room the first time -you probablably will say WOW. VERY nice rooms. Nice to have a drink outside in the "courtyard". The service at the bar area was not very professional, always long waiting times, missing orders, etc. But we have taken it very EASY, because we spent our short vacation time there.

Room Tip: Very nice stylish interiour. Excellent big great bathroom. Very clean. A bit cold. Sehr schöners Amb...

After 22 hours of air travel time, it was so wonderful to enjoy the luxury and comfort offered by this hotel. The bed was soft, and the room was modern and tastefully decorated.
The location was fantastic, just a short bus or train trip to parliament square.
If you can book well in advance, and don't mind paying in full in advance, then there are some great deals to be had too.
I would be straining to find anything negative to say about our stay.

The hotel is great the rooms are comfortable and modern. The location is good, it was quiet and you would not believe you were a few steps from Fleet Street.

However, we were very perplexed as to why we paid so much for drinks at the bar, £18 for 2 drinks seems very excessive for London - we were charged this twice on 2 separate occassions. It may be advisable for those considering to stay is to bring their own bottle and ask the hotel bar staff for a couple of glasses!
