“Central Location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This Hotel is located in the centre of London, 2 min walking distance to Oxford Street and Regent Street. Near the hotel there are shops, restaurants, bus station and tube. The price I have booked was not very high compared to other central hotels in London. The rooms are big but need refurbished. The Wi-Fi was out of order the two days I stayed.

This hotel although central needs some TLC, rooms modern looking but restaurant very dated. Carpets with red tape holding it together and metal frame windows need painting they also let the wind in so double glazing would help as the restaurant is 15 floors up

My friend and I stayed one night prior to attending a BBC recording, the hotel is ideally placed for this.
The rooms are comfortable and are furnished to a good standard.
Service was good in general. The breakfast had plenty of choice

We stayed at the Saint Georges last December. I had read few negative reviews so I didn't know what to expect but we had a great experience. We had accidentally booked a room with two single beds and didn't know til we got into the room. We went back down to reception expecting them to say 'Tough!' but they moved us with no trouble at all to a room which was even nicer. Nice room and bathroom, had a lovely hot bath after a day spent shopping. It's a great location only 2 streets from Oxford St, nr to the tube, with lots of restaurants and cafes about. We had breakfast at the restaurant on the 15th floor, food was good (expensive but good) £15 for a full english but worth paying for the fantastic view. Would defo recommend and return!

We stayed at the Saint Georges last year. This year we saw they did upgrade the rooms. Nice bathroom, nice room, just a little dark, very difficult to read in bed at night.
The bar & restaurant on the 15th floor is lovely, the buffet breakfast is fine and in the evening it's lovely to eat and look out the windows.
It's a great location because it's 2 streets from Oxford circus and lot's of restaurants and cafe's.

I stayed in this hotel for several nights on business. I'd chosen it because it was close to where I would be working and the rate was very favourable for a hotel in such a central position.
I wasn't disappointed. You couldn't fault Saint Georges for position and value for money.
The reception is small but check-in was quick. The room I had was quite large, with a table and chairs, flat-screen TV and sufficient storage, though if two people were staying, it would be a bit of a squeeze. There is a mini-bar and it had space to store a few things of your own - the mini-bar prices were more reasonable too than most hotels I've stayed in recently.
The bathroom was fine, special mention has to be made of the shower, which is absolutely great. The pressure was so strong, it almost hurt!
Breakfast is good, the cooked food is ordered from a menu and comes very quickly, it's fresh and hot. There is also a good continental selection too and the staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant has great rooftop views of the area too.
Being just off Regent Street, there is some traffic noise, but it generally isn't too bad. There was one night when I had a problem with a noise, and the front of house staff were very helpful and temporarily re-located me so I could sleep. I believe it was a generator from a lorry removing Christmas lights, and it only happened on one night.
I would totally recommend this hotel, for its position and value for money. I'm surprised more people haven't found it, but part of me hopes they won't, as I want to return another time!

Chose this hotel for the location and wasn't disappointed, 2 minutes from Oxford Street but suprisingly quiet once in the hotel. Clean room with everything working, lovely view over London and good price for West End location. All good and will stay again :-)
