“An authentic and refreshing find in central.... Apart from the service”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

The food was great. Having been accompanied by a Japanese person I was told the food was very authentic, at least when it came to the Japanese dishes.

The restaurant itself has a great feel to it. Lovely signage is dotted all over try celling. Anime is played on one of the wall further adding to your emersion into a slice of Asia.

The service is where this restaurant fell down. Our waiter didn't seem engaged at all. After he took our order he never came back to our table. Even though he continued to serve others around us.

Customer servic aside I was pleased that I tried this restaurant. It's value for money and great feel more than outweighed the cons

“I didn't want my curry to finish!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

I will go back and work myself through the express menu. The food was fresh and simply delicious. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious and interestingly decorated. If you are shopping in the area , this is the place to go for a quick bite.

“Love the food, though portion sizes have shrunk!”
Reviewed May 15, 2013 via mobile

The dishes on this menu looked so appetising, I couldn't wait to try them out. The thai green and red curries are lovely, and I absolutely love their Som Tam salad. I have taken countless friends and groups of friends /colleagues there (wish this was acknowledged by East Street in the form of a loyalty card of some sort!) and practically everyone with me loved their food and has returned. I continue to go back at least a couple of times a month (again, loyalty cards would be great, hint hint!!) since it's so close to work, and I've rarely been disappointed by the food.
I have a few teeny complaints though: when the place was newly opened last year, the portions were so generous- the rice and the curry/main dish came separately in large bowls, generously filled to the top, however now, the portions are much smaller, with everything crammed onto one plate. Plus the "express menu" has gone up in price, which was a surprise considering the smaller sizes! Another small thing is that the music is often so loud that it's hard to hear the person opposite you speak, and it encourages people on adjacent tables to shout too loud to be heard- not pleasant when one is trying to enjoy a meal out!
Extra brownie points for serving halal chicken breast and for giving 25% student discount!! One of my favourite restaurants in the busy area.

“Great food in a fun environment”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We had a couple of beers and some small dishes in this diferent restaurant, decorated as a street Food Place.

Several Choices for small dishes as well as main dishes, and several good offers.

Service was friendly and helpful and the overall experience was very good. Recommended for a different experience and great Food.

“Kitschy Asian fun!”
Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Being Korean, I was deeply in need/want of some Korean food and this place, although not super authentic, didn't disappoint. It's super casual, has a lively atmosphere, decor from various Asian countries and a very friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely become a regular if a London resident.
