Ate here last night , great food , great prices . The owner could talk under water with a mouth full of marbles. The staff are extremely courteous . Short walk from our hotel ( The Ibis ). So good to have a feedback site like tripadvisor . Real feedback from real people . It has been spot on with every review I have read .

There are two Indian restaurants ver close by, and this is the one that looks less flashy, but you can't judge a book by its cover. Traditional Indian food that was outstanding. Service was also great and the ambience is typical for an Indian restaurant. The only small criticism is that the chairs were not the most comfortable, but also not terrible, and a tiny bit cramped... but this place is definitely worth trying if you know your Indian.

After a long day's walking and sight seeing, we came to this local Indian restaurant and treated ourselves an awesome dinner. I had a handi lamb chop dish, which had 4 pieces of lamb chops in it! I have never had delicious 4 pieces of lamb chops for only $15! The food is very delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff is also very friendly and helpful in ordering. Overall, this was a highlight of the night.

Staying nearby and gave this place a try having seen the Trip Advisor reviews and have to agree about how good it is. Good service, not too fast and certainly not slow. Nice poppodum with good pickle selection - very nice lime pickle. Had a veggie thali and was all very nice and very tasty. The paratha that cam with it was the best I've had yet, crispy yet slightly greasy at the same time. Not a bad price for London either.

Being close to Holiday Inn Express and recommended by many here on trip advisor, we dined here yesterday. The restaurant upstairs is very small, cramped and yet very inviting. My partner and I were first seated right in the middle of the restaurant where the waiters bumped and tripped over our chairs to serve the guests seated on the side booths. With the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen we decided to stick it out.

The menu was massive and after a good look we decided the dishes for our dinner. A Dhansak Chicken served with pilau rice £9.50 and a Chicken Vindaloo £6.95. As for the bread, we decided on a sweet peshwari naan £2.95 (and it was delicious!!)

After being bumped into quite a few times due to the hectic pace of the waiters serving plus with the guests moving in and out, I asked if it was possible to sit somewhere with less activity since some guests had left and I could see there was a possibility. And without any hesitation our waiter cleared up one of the table's and moved us into one of the booths beside the bar. A very nice spot!! Relief :-)

The large Kingfisher beers were LARGE! So beware (though they were guzzled down by the end of our dinner ) - the dishes were really good. The rice was of a small helping. So if you have a good appetite, order two. The curry helpings were fine. However, We did have to order salad on the side as well. Normally in Berlin, one gets both rice and salad with ones order. Different here in London!

With two curry dishes with rice included in one of the dishes, a naan, a plain salad and two large beers we paid 29.30£.

To sum it all up, Lily Tandoori is a fine little restaurant serving delicious food and fantastic breads. The service is friendly and efficient. It was packed with people, so if you are more than two, making a reservation would be a good idea.

Thank Soomi
