“Very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Had been desperate to go to Pitt Cue for a good while but always been put off by the queue. Finally we made it at 5.50 and the place was already full! We just about missed the first sitting so had to wait at the bar for our table for roughly 30 mins (not too bad really). We sat in the bar upstairs and ordered the pulled pork which was absolutely delicious, bone marrow mash which was lovely and rich and the slaw which I wasn't too fussed about. For dessert we sampled both the sticky toffee pudding and 'mess' which is a delicious concoction of nutmeg-y cinnamon-y quinces and apples with a delicious cream. Very unusual but worked really well. The service was brilliant, after there was a slight issue with my food the waitress was very apologetic and handled it professionally, taking it off my bill. Very glad I finally went and the food definitely lived up to expectations!

“Incredible”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

This place was amazing. Had lunch at 2.45 on a Tuesday, so no queue. Sampled the pulled pork and both the pork and the beef ribs (the latter being described as 'life changing' by one of our party). Disappointingly, the kitchen forgot to turn on the smoker, meaning we didn't get the pig wing we had ordered from the specials menu. This was made up for though in complimentary drinks. I recommend the pickleback, which is a shot of Irish whiskey chased by some pickle juice. Desserts - sticky toffee: good, mess: average.

“Can't wait to get back in the queue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

We've been to the trailer half a dozen times and visited the restaurant for the first time recently. Massive queue both outside and in but I'd do almost anything to get hold of one of their ribs. Everything we tried was fantastic - pulled pork, burnt ends, smoked sausage, ribs and cocktails - all tasted delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Staff are pleasant but service is limited because the place is tiny and incredibly busy. Desperately hope they're able to find a way to scale-up without the quality slipping.

“Small but packs a big punch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This place does great food at great prices. The closest thing to BBQ in London. It:s small and buzzing. The Ribs and Pulled pork are succulent and smokey and the sides are interesting. Do it...you know you want to.

“Beautiful barbecued pulled pork”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

I went here for the first time today, I was attracted by a good review of the place in The Observer Newspaper. This is a really small restaurant, and you can't book. So we turned up at 12 noon, and got a table, it looked pretty queued up by 1pm.
The meat is amazing, slow barbecued smoky tasty succulent pulled pork. The presentation is simple, tin plates with a hunk of bread and a few pickles and a side dish in a pot. All for £11-12. If you add more meat it's an extra £6 or an extra side it's £3.50
The ribs looked huge, beef or pork ribs, my companion had chicken-fried steak which he also enjoyed. But I'd go again for the pulled pork, and if I was hungry enough I'd try the pork ribs as well. Best barbecue meat ever. Good for families by all accounts, I wouldn't say it was great for special occasions, just because it's so small, and the place does not seem suitable for a large group who want to hang around for long.
