A gem!! Hard to believe you are in the middle of a built up area, flats etc as from the moment you drive through the gates it is just beautiful. The staff keep it so clean that they even sweep the acorns off the road each day!!!! We saw squirrels and foxes and many different birds. You can choose hard standing (and on one visit we were advised against setting up under a tree as the acorns were dropping which I woudln't have thought about and was excellent advice. There are also grass pitches which are lovely too.
The whole site is surrounded by electric fencing, but to be honest although we knew it was there, it was hardly noticeable as the shrubs and trees pretty much covered it.
The toilet block - well it's got to be the best we've ever used, immaculate and warm. Hot water all the time, and mesh on the windows to stop bugs flying in at night.
The first time we arrived we went in to pay and realised we both badly needed the loo - the staff were so helpful and allowed us to use theirs. Friendly and helpful whenever we needed help or advice.
A short walk (maybe 10 mins) to the local train station at Abbeywood where the trains run into London about every 10 minutes. The ticket covers your return trip and also the tube and buses in London all day, and the journey is about half an hour.
An excellent place to stay. We booked a week there for 3 people and it only cost £150, the cost one night in a hotel in London!!!!
