“An Ethnic Beauty”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Ok...I've never eaten Ethiopian before and wasn't certain what to expect. What a fabulous meal! Lots of menu choices, including vegetarian. Beautifully presented by a friendly wait staff that were happy to make suggestions. Eating with my hands....well that was certainly new...I hope I used the right one! Nobody complained and the food tasted wonderful. Even the spicey options weren't bad. I'd definitely go back.

“Great food, great atmosphere”

It's impossible not to love this place. You will not go wrong with any of the dishes. Everything (and I tried quite a few dishes already) is brilliant!

“Outstanding, quirky cuisine, authentic Ehtiopian decor”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

A must visit if you are keen on experimenting with adventurous food from around the world. You will be pleasantly exposed to new spices, taste and way of eating. We ordered the Queen of Sheba special meat platter, with traditional , sponge-likeinjera bread with texture similar to crumpets and a selection of various tasty dishes. Unfortunately they'd run out of the Ethiopian coffee with frankinsense but the spicy tea was good. Advise going for early dinner around 6 pm when the restaurant opens, otherwise it fills up v.quickly and the service becomes slow (if gracious at all times). Great choice for a different evening out in London.

“Frankly outstanding food”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

I'm not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to Ethiopian food, but was absolutely blown away by this place and will most definitely be coming back. The food was fantastic. We had a problem with the bill that caused an immense amount of hassle but even then I couldn't give this place anything but 5/5 because the food was just too good.

“lovely- must go back”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

really enjoyed our evening in this place. we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked in to this tiny little restaurant. so really good service, nice place, great beers and really interesting tasty food. the one thing i would say is watch the sour crumpet breads (njeera? apologies for spelling). this stuff's so moorish ( as in can't stop eating! ;o) ) that we quickly got full up, meaning lovely lamb and chicken dishes couldn't be finished. guess it's the same with tortillas or chappattis or such like, but if we manage to get there again i will try and resist the temptation of eating too much of it! would definitely recommend.
