“Perfection, great for O2 and then they spoiled it.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Spent the weekend at this hotel as we were going to see Muse at the O2 (15 mins door to door on Jubilee line).

We drove to the hotel. Followed signs for Westfield. Parked in Car Park B and then literally 30 second walk to hotel. As you walk in the hotel, use the lifts on the right hand side (left are for HI). Reception is on 12th floor.

Everything was fantastic. The hotel is spotless with huge bed, kitchen in suites, Apple TV, wonderful bathroom etc. Staff are incredibly helpful although very laid back.

Location - right in the middle of Westfield Stratford, overlooking the Olympic park. 5 minute walk to Stratford station which has you in Central London in 20 mins.

Paid £100 per night which was good value for London.

Would have rated it 5 stars but for breakfast on the second morning. I had to move pots myself to find a table (the table next to us wasnt cleaned for 30 mins) and it took them 20 mins to bring me some pepper (had to ask as couldnt find any). When I raised these issues with reception, they advised me that they were short staffed. This is bad enough on a Sunday morning. However, in the lifts there is a notice that advises guests weekend 'brekkie' is busy after 930. If the hotel know breakfast is busy then why not put staff on? Gave us a bad ending to the weekend.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms overlook Olympic Stadiums.

Thank you for your review- I am absolutely delighted to note that we got most things right and that you enjoyed your stay overall.

Regarding Sunday ‘Brekkie’, I am truly sorry to hear that it let us down. You will be pleased to hear that we have since recruited an additional 2 team members specifically for weekend breakfast.

I truly hope that we can welcome you ‘Home’ again in the very near future and hopefully earn a 5-star review

Sincerely,

Wayne Androliakos

Stayed on Saturday night. Great location and easy short walk to tube station. Reception located on 12 th floor where the dining room is. I stayed on the 11 th floor with view over the Olympic park. Choose even numbered rooms higher than 20.
Small clean kitchette and lounge with separate bedroom. TVs in both rooms.
You can take your breakfast down to your bedroom just remember to take the tray from your room (the one with your mugs on it).
Great value and comfortable night.

Have also stayed at the Holiday Inn attached to the Staybridge a couple of weeks ago. Both hotels are great. The location is superb - only 20 mins into Central London on the Underground. Both hotels offer great value for money. The Staybridge rooms are bigger as they have their own kitchen, perfect for those longer stays. TV's in both the bedroom and the lounge and the room I stayed in had excellent over the Olympic stadium.

Staff were friendly and eager to help (similar to Holiday Inn next door). Plenty of restaurants and bars in the shopping centre just outside the front door. Perfect stay.

We spent 3 nights at the Staybridge Suites and everything was definitely perfect. The hotel is ideally located just a few steps from Stratford tube station on the Central Line.
On arrival we received a very warm welcome and, as it was our anniversary, we were free upgraded and found a bottle of wine with a lovely message from the staff in our room.
The room was clean and beautifully appointed with a fully equipped kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The rate included a lot of benefits like daily buffet breakfast, wifi connection, tea corner all day long... The staff was outstanding.
A home away from home. We will come back. Thank you very much for making our stay memorable!

Last minute, we had to find a place to stay when hurricane Sandy cancelled our return flight to NY. Two big bags, didn't want to take the underground from heathrow so we took a cab. Hotels.com advised me this would cost about $60. With the meter running and me watching the GPS on my phone, it cost $200. Ouch. But staybridge guaranteed me half that to return to the airport

Entrance is actually in the mall complex so you don't drive up to the entrance. Great welcome, awesome suite, I wanna take the bed and pillows and comforter home with me. Breakfast was certainly adequate considering we are in England ( plenty of food, nothing very good, but we ARE in England)

First experience with a Staybridge and I have to say that it just might be the best hotel experience I've had. Will definitely come back to other Staybridges if this is a good example of them

I have stayed in a Staybridge in the USA before and I know this chain is very good. This hotel in Stratford is not different. Very friendly and professional staff, spacious rooms and a good breakfast is served. The view from my room on the 11th floor was great. The tv in the rooms have many channels from many countries. However bear in mind that the breakfast room can get very crowded (especially on weekend mornings after 9.00) so consider taking items to your room. Also bear in mind that rooms are not serviced during weekends unless you request it 24 hours in advance. Altough the hotel is not in central London the location is perfect. Stratford station is a real public transport hub.

Stayed here from Friday to Sunday. The location of the hotel was brilliant, right next to westfield shopping centre which includes lots of restaurants too (literally about 30 steps...i think other customers may have been using the wrong door from the shopping centre to get here) and right by the tube (which you get to from shopping centre). When we checked in the staff were really pleasant, friendly and efficient. We were told there was no automatic turn down service on the weekend however they would do this for no extra charge if we asked for it (we didn't ask for this). I saw staff doing rooms during our stay so this clearly wasnt an issue if people required it. The room was fantastic. It was clean and nicely laid out. There was a little kitchen as you walk in the door (it didn't feel as though it was actually in your bedroom) which although we didn't cook while there was handy for the fridge and tap for drinking water. The bed was really comfortable and the tv (apple tv) was great. I always like cereal for breakfast and was really happy with the cereal choice here (they even had coco pops!). My partner likes to have a cooked breakfast when we go away and really liked the bacon and hash browns on the Saturday morning of our stay and said it was one of the best cooked breakfasts he'd ever had. The only negative thing to say about the hotel is that unfortunately on the Sunday the only cooked breakfast choice was sausage scrambled egg and beans (which he doesn't like). I guess they change the hot breakfast items each day. Thinking there was no harm in asking, there was a staff member in the area so he asked her if there was any chance of hash browns or bacon and she snapped "that is all you are getting today". Just seemed a little unnecessary. I had never stayed at a staybridge suite hotel before and feel like I have been missing out. It's a lovely atmosphere and the staff can't do enough for you (with the small exception at breakfast). I would definitely stay at this hotel again and try others of the same brand.
