I'm not sure if this is exactly "authentic" (whatever that is) but we had a great night here!
The staff were all very enthusiastic and engaging, making us don sombreros and mixing us special cocktails according to our tastes (mine was some sort of potent lychee-passionfruit concoction, it was amazing!).
The food was very nice, although we thought the jalapeno popper entree was a bit of a rip-off, £6 for only 4. They also mixed up our other entree - although we asked for the trio of dips they brought us the very similar (but slightly more expensive) nachos dish instead. Oh well. For mains we had the Mexican burger and vegetable chimichanga, both large servings and very tasty.
Although we visited at around 9pm on a Sunday night, the restaurant was still fairly busy - I could imagine it packing out on Fridays and Saturdays. We enjoyed the atmosphere (cheesy decor and all).
We splurged a little and the bill wound up at £80 for the two of us - although this included 2 courses and 2 or 3 cocktails each, and we felt it worthwhile. Including a complimentary shooter with the bill, we couldn't really complain ;)
The lively service and cocktails were the real winners, all in all a fun night. Recommended.
