We wanted a cheap overnight stay as we were visiting for a show. We have stayed here before about 6 years ago. You can't really fault it for the price! We paid £69 for a twin room on 2nd floor which included breakfast. Tea making facilities in the room and a shower room, good old basic TV but what do you expect for that money. Can certainly recommend it.
Needed somewhere inexpensive to stay in King's Cross area as meeting daughter and then heading out to see a band. Not far from station, facilities adequate and no complaints about price. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Learnt the long way. Unfortunately discounted for a reason. ☘️ was being smoked in the corridors and room was dirty. However, Bathroom ok and sheets clean. More of a victorian hostel than hotel vibe. Reception staff friendly enough. Didn't risk the continental breakfast
Well given the cheap price of just 66 pound my hopes weren't up anyway. However the room was literally tiny and the bathroom were a wet room, meaning if you had a shower you would have to wait ages till you could use the bathroom without getting wet. The room did have good wifi and have a TV. The location is good as it is right near Kings Cross station and the staff are very polite in fairness. It is an alright hotel to stay in, just don't expect a lot from it though.
We stayed here for one night near Christmas as we were struggling to find somewhere to stay. On a positive note, it was close to the station and easy to find. For £60, we had a VERY basic room, there was a concealed step near the bed which was quite dangerous, a shelf falling off the wall and wires for the TV traipsing across the mirror. It was very noisy in the morning with doors banging and the walls being thin (the rooms are all in very close proximity). The window in our bedroom didn't lock either so left us feeling a little unsafe leaving our belongings in there. (There is a safe for valuables but we couldn't put all of our clothes in there!!). We didn't stay to try the breakfast so can't comment on that. The bathroom was clean and the staff were polite but I would say if you can find a travel lodge for the same price, go for that instead!!
