I stayed here for one night as I was attending an event nearby. The room I received was on the second floor and looked like it had recently been refurbished. Although it was quite small is was adequate for my needs and very clean. Nice comfortable bed and a good hot shower, the most important things to me in a hotel room.
The staff were very friendly and the inclusive breakfast in the coffee shop attached was wonderful!. The only negative points were that in the bathroom it was an energy saving bulb therefore very dark which made it difficult for me to see to put on make up and the noise of the traffic which goes on almost all night...but it is London!...and I would use the hotel again if in the area.

I've been there twice recently. The first time I found it basic but accepted it because the price was quite good but the second time I found it really too basic for the price. The bedding is not bad , is clean, but the walls are really dirty as well as the carpets. The furniture in the rooms is really simple and not up to date at all. They could do an effort on this specially on the lighting; For little money you can do a lot today.
The bathrooms are on the contrary quite good and well equipped with nice thick towels; The wifi works quite well, depends where you are.
There is no lift and that could be a problem when you have a big suitcase.
The hotel looks more like a youthhostel in fact with all the laundery remaining in the corridors for a long time in the morning.
The location is ok not far from St Pancras but around the hotel it's quite poor for coffeeshops and restaurants.
The staff is lovely.
With the poor quality of the rooms and the dirtiness of the walls and carpets they really have to do something, also for putting new lamps in the room.If they don't make any effort about that the price will be definitevely too high for the place.

Room Tip: better choose first floor if you 've got a big suitcase and want better wifi but I had a better room on second floor (larger bed) the last time..

a cheap butt comfortable hotel had a room at the back which was quieter than those at at the front which face the road,,, not much of a view tho ...... radiator wouldn't switch off in room eve tho i turned it all the way down .... shower head couldn't be adjusted also ... fairly comfy otherwise... tv and kettle in rooms .....basic decor ... ok for a overnight stay...

Room Tip: rooms at the back are quieter......

Great location two minutes from Chalk Farm tube station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Rooms were fairly basic and small,no bedside tables and minimal toiletries and limited hospitality tray. They were very clean and bed was reasonably comfortable.
We asked for a quiet room and got one on the top floor at the back of the hotel, didn't hear any traffic or any other noise at night and as it is on the cornet or busy streets with bars this was much appreciated! Downside there is no lift ! (3 floors!)
The hall and stairways are a bit dingy, more like a hostel than a hotel, needed a lick of paint, room looked to be newly decorated.
The brakfast was good value and served in the coffee shop,
A good place to stay for a couple of nights, if on a budget,

Room Tip: As for a room at the back.

This hotel is very close to Camden lock market and right opposite the roundhouse and it is reasonable for central London, the breakfast good and cheap and the staff are helpful and friendly. So far so good but being opposite a pub and next to a main road it is noisy and the rooms are small.
So if you want a hotel in Camden don't want to spend a fortune and your only staying for night or two, go ahead it's ok. But don't expect luxury!
