“Look beyond the cakes and have a good breakfast”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

Sunday morning following a night in the Travelodge in Drury Lane. Didn't fancy the Travelodge breakfast in what looks like a motorway service area, so went around the corner to Patisserie Valerie in Long Acre.
Quiet little seating area at the back of the shop, try not to get near the door to the toilet, and a fresh cooked breakfast awaits wit a more than passable coffee. Poached eggs on granary was just right although the full breakfast that was delivered to the table next to ours had me thinking maybe I should have gone for it!
Second time we've had breakfast here and not disappointed. Surprising what you can find at the back of a cake shop.

“Delicious cakes”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Were staying at the Travelodge around the corner, and had eaten lunch but no dessert so when we encountered this lovely patiserie on the way back to the hotel we decided to take a cake back with us; I had a Black forest cake - absolutely the best! Hubby had a tart au citron and he loved his too. 4 cakes cost £10 to take away - there is an eat in area too.

SO glad we had our dessert from here rather than pay 2 - 3 times the cost to get a rubbish dessert, and will look out or other branches next time we are in London.

A surprisingly pleasant experience, the food is lovely and the service very good - excellent pastries but everything else is good too.

“Fine Coffee and Pastry Shop”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

A group of coffee / patisserie shops in central London (and maybe elsewhere?). Generally well kept premises and ideal for a quiet coffee escaping the hustle and bustle of the coffee chains. Great pastries.
