Why stay in a swanky central London hotel, with their exhorbitant rates, when you can have a very comfortable, clean and quiet room at this Premier Inn. We booked some way in advance so got a reasonable rate. We arrived around midday (before official check-in time), but the friendly, helpful staff still found us a quiet room on the 11th floor. The room was very nice throughout with a firm, comfortable bed. This hotel has 12 floors with 20 or so rooms per floor so breakfast time can be very busy. In the lifts there are signs indicating the busy and quiet periods for breakfast - take note. We always went down early and avoided any queuing. The hotel's location is uninspiring, but it doesn't matter as the bus / tube network will quickly get you to where you want to be. On our last day they kindly stored our luggage until later in the day.
Overall we highly recommend this hotel. Book early to get reasonable rates.

The Hotel is a good value, friendly place within a 5 minute walk of the nearest tube, (Old Street, use exit 1!) the staff were always helpful and friendly. No issues with noise and we were only on the 2nd floor, we didn't use the restaurant as we were in London with over 2000 restaurants to chose from! There are some interesting places within a 10 minute walk or hop on the tube!

We stayed here for 7 nights during a family holiday from New Zealand. Usual great Premier Inn standard - excellent breakfasts, great service, friendly staff, handy to tube & train stations etc etc etc. We had our 11 & 12 year old sons and an extra bed was made up for them in the room. Was slightly cramped but very comfortable and not too bad considering we had 4 suitcases with us as well.

Always choose premier inn these days for business and pleasure but never stayed here before. Typical clean and comfortable premier inn room, also surprisingly quiet for central London. Ate in restaurant tonight and good quality "pub type" meal at a reasonable price.

London room rates but would definitely stay again. Watch out though because it isn't quite on old street!

Old Street is conveniently located next to North Line Tube station. Old Street premier inn has cozy restaurant and very friendly staff. This was very practical location for us and the value for money was very good. The quietness of the rooms is very nice in premier inns.

Just about worth 4 'blobs'. Very new so pristine throughout. Rooms very nice with standard, good quality PI fittings. We were on the seventh floor but don't expect a view as the neighbouring building is equally tall. We stayed night of 29th October and it seemed busy. The queue for breakfast stretched for a very long way and suggested they don't have the infrastructure to cope with the number of guests the hotel can accommodate, which seems odd. The stocks of breakfast stuff were also being depleted faster than they could be replaced. Nonetheless, we were eventually seated around a large, round table and had a good breakfast.
The staff were very friendly, as is the norm with PIs.
The area is not particularly great and we went into Covent Garden to eat. The Old Street underground is not going to feature on any postcards and there were a number of homeless loitering about, albeit harmlessly in our experience.
Getting around was not too bad though it's a bit on a limb and you have to change to get pretty much anywhere.
there is a Sainsbury's local on the big old street r'about and it was the busiest one i've ever been in.
We got it on a good deal of £49 a room so I'm pretty sanguine about the stay, but I'd have been miffed if I'd have paid the £80 or more that this often costs.
The Borough Market PI has got much more going for it and it's just as easy to get into the City from.

Stayed at this hotel for one Sunday night in October. Only booked as availability was limited elsewhere due to school half term, however, would now HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!
The location is a little out of centre, but the tube and bus links are so close that within minutes you are in the thick of it!
Met by the friendliest and most smiliest (?!) staff ever on arrival, and were soon on our way up to our room after our daughter had been treated to some halloween sweeties!
The hotel is new, and this is immediately apparent when you move through the hotel. The public areas were very clean and spacious, three lifts (all working) are a must as there are, I think, 12 floors.
The room we had on floor 5 was very spacious and immaculate. Our daughters bed had real substance to it, unlike the normal put-me-up rubbish you can be offered! There were plenty of pillows and the room temperature was wonderful. Facilities were more than adequate, and it felt like a little home from home.
After a very comfortable nights sleep, we had a super breakfast in the restaurant which was well worth the money. A full range of breakfast fayre was on offer, including the ability to have your order cooked as you wanted it. It certainly set us up for a busy day on our feet in the city!
The hotel also offer a luggage room, which is wonderful to find especially as the London stations no longer have luggage lockers available.
Overall, the hotel is well located, wonderfully presented, warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.
nb. - the only downside to the entire stay was the plethora of shady looking down & outs, who start to congregate around the Old Street Tube station entrances as the night draws in. They didn't make a nuisence of themselves, nor did they hassle us in any way, but being as we are from a small rural market town it was a little uncomfortable for our ten year old daughter. I must hasten to add that there is nothing the hotel can do about this, but worth being aware of if you're planning to stay with young children or are a nervous disposition!
