With high expectations and an inner need to feel relaxed and peaceful, we arrived at the hotel and immediately a crisp air of design and attention to detail blew us away. Since it was our anniversary, we were upgraded to a King Premium (from a King Deluxe), quite a welcome touch. Complimentary continental breakfast was included in the package, but more about breakfast in a while.
One point i wanna stress out is the fact that service is like any other. Everyone was extra polite, going the extra mile so as to satisfy any requests, most of the times before they were even expressed. So, many thumbs up for the best service we have experienced.
The hotel in question is completely renovated, something you cannot tell unless you focus on the exterior, which according to the hotel designer(s), was intentionally left unscathed.
Anyway, room impressions: well, although ours was the largest one, right before a penthouse/suite, i must admit it was not spacious. Space is of the essence when travelling, at least according to our criteria, but unfortunately the rooms lack in that area. However, although room design, room amenities and the whole quality of everything within the room was of the highest level, there was one single abnormality that overshadowed all the great qualities of the room. The bathroom was equipped with a sliding door, which didn't keep the bathroom isolated/soundproof from the rest area. That single detail bumped us quite a bit, but apart from that, i would give a thumbs up if room space is not one of your top priorities.
Now, about breakfast. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast buffet. That was a turn-off for us. However, it offered a wide enough range of options regarding toasts, eggs, cereals, juices, etc. which were cooked according to your preferences. Quality of the ingredients was excellent. A bit overpriced but what hotel breakfast aint?
So, in general a pleasant experience, best service, oops! i forgot to mention maybe its highest quality. Location. Location. Location. Less than five minutes walk from Sloane Str., and less than fifteen minutes from the center of Knightsbridge and Harrods, makes it ideally located for any leisure trip. Quite a dreamy area, peaceful but close to crowded locations, so you will never feel stranded.
So,again, in a nutshell for the tripadvisor visitors: brand new (well renovated, but you won't know the difference!), best service, best location, rooms not spacious enough, no buffet breakfast, and a bit overpriced (breakfast and rooms as well!). That's it. Choice is always yours!
