Description: The original and still the best! As popular now as the day it opened, Wahaca Covent Garden collides the heat of the Mexican market with all the coolness of London's trendy West End, in an explosion of colour, texture and noise. Enjoy the funky music and lively surroundings in the bar while you wait to be seated.

I've been to this restaurant twice (It would be more often but I don't get to London very often!)

The atmosphere is both vibrant and relaxed, although busy both times I went. Had to wait to be seated on second occasion but quick and attentive service once seated.

We had the small 'market food' plates, highly recommended are: Pork Pibil tacos (I have never tasted pork like it, really delicious), chicken taquitos, beef & chorizo quesadillas. The sweet potato side is delicious too. We ordered 3 plates and a side each which was a lot - I'd say only order 3 if you're very hungry. The good thing with this style is that you can always order more if you're still hungry!

If you have space left, the churros & chocolate pud is yummy.

Would definitely recommend this place - the food is great, prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and attentive.

I love Mexican food but have never eaten at a Mexican restaurant before. I thoroughly enjoyed eating at Wahaca. The service was good, staff were extremely friendly and food was beautiful. Easily accessible from Charing Cross Underground Station.

Wonderful way to try different Mexican dishes; and you can eat as much or as little as you like. Nothing we tried disappointed, though highlights were the pulled pork tacos and the chicken chipotle quesilladas, not forgetting the chocolate and churros to finish. Drinks very fairly priced. Service quick and friendly. Initially, we were brought a couple of dishes we hadn't ordered; these were left on our table without question but not added to our bill. This notwithstanding, three of us had our fill of the attractively presented and very flavoursome food and escaped for less than forty quid. Incredible value for this part of central London. Will certainly return.

Nice cocktails and decoration. Food was ok but the menu was small and basically mexican fast food (tacos, burittos, quesadillas) and few of plates (pibil was great). But we had a great time.

Had to wait 45 mins for a table on a very busy saturday night, Great touch with the bar being in the basement, Tried various Mojitos and other drinks, 45 Minutes passed very quick, Then shown to the table and and ordered food, Had about 3 dishes each, 2 of us are veggies and 1 meat eater, One of the dishes came for the veggie and it contained meat, The waiter was very sorry and brought the correct dish and as a gesture the lady had all her dishes free, Great mexican street tapas food, Would def go back.... Very good prices also and amazin hot sauces.
Well worth the visit.
