As previous reviews state this is a hidden gem and one which without Trip Advisor we would not have considered going to although we were staying locally. Good food, friendly service, good value etc etc all true as are comments re decor & frontage. Basic range of drinks available. wine is Le Piat D'or...but also BYO allowed. In short an excellent choice if passing by. Also saw a couple with doggy bag at end of meal.....

Have been in London for almost two weeks now and apart from two previous meals could not understand how it merited being called the food capital of the world. Accommodation on Stratford meant i passed this place a few times. The outside and decor was off putting but since i was on my own thought what the hay lets try it.

What a delight! The food was great, the servixe friendly and unlike other places i had dined on my own at, they were quite warm and relaxed (some places treat eating alone as a social awkwardness) ! The bill when it came was also a Surprise as my chicken cashew, ateamed rice and jasmine tea was only 8 pounds!

Thanks Sun Li and family for making my evening alpne before the 9 o clock show such a pleasure!

Don't bother if this place doesn't look very attractive, once you're in you will love it!!!

Delicious Thai cuisine inside a dated British working class inn. Menu is generous and you will have a vast choice of good starters, well cooked rice and tasty meat (the chicken was delicious) or vegetarian dishes.
With candles at night the atmosphere is cosy and warm. I like the dated and cheap decor and the old board with pies and traditional English dishes next to the poster of the Thai royal family.

The pie crust it's quintessentially London, tasty and not expensive. I will definitely recommend it for a lovely dinner!!!

Family owned and run by a Thai family for decades, it's a cafe serving full cooked breakfast during the day (hence the name) and a bustling Thai BYO restaurant by night, serving loyal customers.
