“A great place to stay in London”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Just got home after a two night stay in this hotel. We have used other Premier Inns but this was by far and away the best. The breakfasts were excellent and room was very quiet. We have never slept better in a hotel. Highly recommended - we will stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor facing away from the main road - this pretty well guarantees a quiet nigh...

I stayed at this branch of Premier Inn for the second time last weekend, having been pretty happy with my first visit last year. However, there is one point which I'd like to share with readers. On both visits, on using the self-check-in machine I discovered that there was a charge made on the use of credit cards. On both occasions, I queried this with reception staff and on confirming there was no way around this (i.e. paying via the manual check-in desk), I opted to use my debit card instead. This is the ONLY Premier Inn at which this has happened to me, and I've stayed in at least half a dozen different branches over the past couple of years. In fact, it's not happened at neighbouring London branches (see my review of Premier Inn Old Street). Given that I opted when booking the room to pay the full (flexible) price rather than the cheap (inflexible, which includes a card charge) rate, I really don't see why I should be penalised at the point of check-in. This is the only reason why I have not given this hotel full marks and I will in future choose to stay at other London branches of Premier Inn in preference to Islington as a result of this issue.

Such a great welcome from their staff. We had 2 adults, 2 kids and a toddler all in one room which cost £160 for 2 nights. We all ate breakfast for under £18 in total. Cheaper than trekking round for a cafe. Room smart, quiet, central and welcoming. We use this hotel every time we visit London as a family and love it.

If, like me, you search for hours, read all reviews, trying to find perfect hotel, price, location etc, then look no further! This hotel was great on all fronts! Ideal location - 5 mins from tube; quiet location; lots of shops, restaurants near by; rooms spacious, clean and comfortable; ideal for a family of 4. All beds comfy - no lumpy sofa beds! The staff were all so friendly and helpful - well done Premier Inn for getting it right!

Just back from two night stay here and thought it was fabulous. Great location, very clean and bright, spacious rooms for London and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a few minor issues that were resolved quickly and professionally and were given free breakfasts to make up for any inconvenience. We have found our new base for our London trips.

Booked this Hotel via the website for a one night stay 15/02/2013 , Certainly could not fault the location that we needed, the staff on duty when we checked in were super, very knowledgable and explained all we needed to know.
Room was faultless and extremely clean and very well presented.
Certainly recomended to anyone.

Always have good experiences of Premier Inn, and this hotel did not disappoint. Brilliant location close to Angel tube, but on a very quiet street. Great area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Stayed for four nights in a family room, plenty big enough for two adults and two 12 year olds; even better that both kids had proper beds. Lovely clean room and bathroom, well-equipped with TV, plenty of hot water, great shower etc. Hair-dryer decent enough, even for my long hair. Nice outlook onto lovely quiet, pretty street. Nowhere to plug in electric shaver/toothbrush only negative. We found the staff incredibly friendly and they made us feel very much at home. We ate in the restaurant three times as we found it good value: three courses plus glass of wine or pint of lager, plus free breakfast all for £23.99. With breakfast priced at £8.95, and kids getting a free breakfast with every adult one purchased, this made sense. The food was lovely and the restaurant really nice to eat in as decor was really smart. Breakfast was good, although the toaster was broken for the whole of our stay; however, the staff prepared toast in the kitchen. The hot plate was not working until the last morning of our stay, when you could help yourself; however, staff took order for cooked breakfast quickly and food was served promptly, so really not an issue. We will definitely stay here again: it was a lovely place to return to after a day's sightseeing in a very cold and wet London!

Room Tip: Ask for one looking onto the street - ir the same side as the entrance.
