“Good value quality rooms”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

As a football fan it is worth staying just for the novelty value, great view of pitch and stadium from the room.
The hotel offers free parking which is excellent for London.
Rooms are practical with tv,fridge, mini bar, the only thing lacking is a wadrobe but they do provide coat hangers on hooks.
Overall great value for London in a unique location.

Stopped here with colleagues for 2 nights when needing a short term base in east London. The price was within our company budget, it offered ample free parking and it was close to the tube station, so we decided to give it a try.

The check in was quick and easy. I was placed in room 303, which like the others has a great view out over the pitch. The rooms themeselves are large, spacious and well equipped. Large well stocked mini bar and big wall mounted flat screen TV are both there for your enjoyment.

Evening meals are ok, but there is certainly room for improvement. For the fist night i had burger and chips in the bar. To be honest this was fairly mediocre and at around a tenner a bit over priced. The second night, i tried the steak and ale pie. This came with new potatoes and fresh carrots and green beans (fresh not frozen) this was much better and very enjoyable. The menu could probably do with expanding if you were to stop for a week or so, but for one or two nights it is ample. Service was a little slow with just one lady trying to serve at the bar, clean tables and run to and from the kitchen with food, but im sure thats not the norm.

Breakfast is served on the second floor and this was excellent (for a buffet). Good quality sausage and bacon, soft buttery scrambled eggs, good mushrooms, etc, etc. your toast is served to you along with tea and decent coffee. There is also a good selection of juice, cereals, etc.

The bar is not the cheapest, but 2 minutes walk will take you to The Boleyn, a local pub that featured (understandably) in the film Green Street.

The hotel has free wi fi in all the rooms and the connection speed is good.

Would I stop here again? Yes without a doubt.

Stayed in this hotel for 7 weeks whilst working at the london Olympics.
Rooms clean and tidy and staff very friendly. Nearest tube station only a 5 min walk and 30 minutes travelling time to central London. Food was bar snack type meals which were fine but plenty of Curry houses in the surrounding area.
Positive points free wifi in all the rooms and public areas.and free parking
Negative points having to vacate the room every time there was a football match.

Stayed for one night, The view was great, and as my fellow is a Westham fan, he was like a kid in a sweet shop. The staff were lovely as well. Will come and stay again, close to underground for shopping in London. Only thing which would have made it even better would have been to go on balcony, I know for safety reasons we couldnt but such a shame. Room was lovely, clean and warm.

Cannot fault this for the money . Nothing too much trouble for the staff who were very pleasant. Nice room overlooking the pitch (now there's a novelty). Price includes breakfast and it was very good, hot selection with decent quality sausages and properly cooked mushrooms(not cooked in liquid) and cereals. Freshly made toast (not the toast your own machine most hotels have there days) also decent tea and coffee. Close to underground for central London, area not the best but is safe and that reflects the price. just make sure its not a match day as room not vacant till later in day. Would stay again.

Booked this for a one night business trip. The view of the pitch was great, very different! The room was large, clean and nicely decorated. Air-Con was a little noisy. I had dinner in the bar, pretty basic menu to choose from but tasty enough, the portions were huge. The car park is secure (cameras and securty staff) - I was a little worried due to the surrounding area. All the staff I encountered were friendly.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the pitch.

Stayed for one night - am a fan, but don`t let the fact it`s a hotel in a football stadium put you off if you are not sporty. The room my wife and I had was very clean, modern, West Ham logo free, and just as good as others you`d pay more for (although had a shower - no bath.) Recommend you read the instructions for the air-con in the welcome pack to get the heating sorted. Breakfast, included in the price, was good - buffet style with good choice of traditional hot and cold fare. We didn`t try the food in the evening as we had already eaten - menu seemed a little basic and was served in the bar area. There`s plenty of parking, although conditions apply for stays the night before/day of a match. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will stay again...
